Revenge Of The Savage Planet: Up, Up, And Boom Challenge Guide

When you start Revenge of the Savage Planet, you might think you're in for a wonderful jaunt across a series of newfound planets, all in hopes of making them hospitable for human life. That is, of course, until you're fired from your workplace after 100 years in cryosleep and deprived of all the gear you need.

You gotta make those slimes even smaller if you want to defeat lots of them at the same time.
PostsMaking these planets hospitable is on the backburner for now while you actually try to, well, survive. But regular ol' survival is no fun, you need som challenges to really spice it up. And the Up, Up, and Boom challenge is one of the more complex ones. Not for what you need to do, but for how precise with timing you need to be when you do it.
How To Unlock The Up, Up, And Boom Challenge
As you advance through the game, the very poorly disguised Slappi will call you up to offer you challenges. These comes in sets, with each main challenge offering multiple sub challenges before it can be completed. Some of these challenges are fairly simple, while others are dramatically more complex. However, after completing a full set, you unlock a trove of new abilities upgrades, so they're always worth doing.
Up, Up, And Boom is unlocked as part of the fourth and final set of challenges. This one requires coating three Babutts in Green Goo at the (approximately) same time. While that might sound easy, it takes a bit more practice and precision than you might be expecting.
How To Complete The Up, Up, And Boom Challenge
First off, we need to find some Babutts. These are found exclusively on the planet Quasadron IX, spread all around. However, they are plentiful in the Babutt Kingdom region, though that maybe goes without saying. There is a teleporter in this region, so begin from there. Babutts tend to wander in groups already, though they are often spread out enough that one being aggroed doesn't always catch the attention of others.
So, how does this challenge work exactly? Babutts breathe fire from their face. Covering them in Green Goo stops that fire from escaping, but it doesn't stop them trying. Therefore, they will try to breathe fire through the Green Goo, causing them to ascend like a hot air balloon. This begins as soon as they are sufficiently coated in Green Goo, and causes them to explode at the end of it.
The challenge asks you to coat three Babutts in Green Goo at the same time. There is a slight bit of leeway in this. The time you have between coating the first and last is however long it takes for the first you've coated to explode. As long as the third Babutt is fully coated in Green Goo before the first one explodes, then you're all good.
Do be careful when fighting them though, as the Green Goo you spray will also cause their fire trails to explode.
A good way to try keep all of the Babutts close together is with some Bait. If you attach it to one of them, they should all flock to that single enemy. That should give you ample time to coat all three of them at the same time without having to try find more.
