While playing Remnant 2 in the N'Erud world, you have a chance to follow the Soul Sparks storyline. This item is essential for your progress, as Tal'Ratha requires it for his own purposes. However, locating the Soul Sparks is a challenging task in itself, and that's not all.

Once you manage to find the Soul Sparks and return to Tal'Ratha, he will reveal himself, and you will engage in a conversation with him. Afterward, he will make an unusual request: Tal'Ratha will ask to eat you. As strange as it may sound, he appears to be serious about this request. Fortunately, this is not the only option available to you.

What Happens If You Let Tal'Ratha Eat You

If you decide to follow Tal'Ratha's request and allow him to eat you, he will literally do just that. After a cutscene showing you being swallowed by him, you will find yourself in a different location.

Here, you will face Tal'Ratha (Metaphysical), a strange and powerful version of the creature that you must defeat. It's important to note that Tal'Ratha (Metaphysical) poses a greater challenge compared to the standard boss fight with him, so some may choose to avoid this choice.

Focus your attacks on Tal'Ratha (Metaphysical)'s head.

After you defeat Tal'Ratha (Metaphysical), you will be rewarded with five Lumenite Crystals, Tome of Knowledge, and, most significantly, the Shining Essence Echo and Acidic Jawbone.

The Acidic Jawbone material can be used to craft the Gas Giant weapon at McCabe. As for the Shining Essence Echo, it serves two purposes.

If you offer it to the Custodian, you will receive the Siphon Heart, which grants a ten percent Lifesteal effect on base damage dealt for ten seconds per use. Alternatively, if you use the Shining Essence Echo in the Drzyr Replicator, you can craft the Void Idol. This amulet provides a 20 percent increase in Reload Speed.

What Happens If You Kill Tal'Ratha

If the first option doesn't appeal to you, there's a second one available.

You can choose to decline Tal'Ratha's request to eat you. This decision will trigger a cutscene in which he becomes angry and prepares to fight you. Immediately after the cutscene, you will need to be prepared to face Tal'Ratha in combat.

Focus your attacks on Tal'Ratha's mouth.

While this version of Tal'Ratha is less challenging than the Metaphysical form, you still need to be careful, as the fighting area is somewhat smaller.

After successfully defeating Tal'Ratha, you will receive the same rewards mentioned before, except for the Acidic Jawbone. Instead, you will obtain the Spiced Bile material, which can be used to craft the Nebula weapon.
