Enhancing your weapon is a crucial task in Remnant 2, and you should aim to do it whenever possible and when you have the necessary materials. That's why you might be curious about how to obtain Hardened Iron, one of the materials required for upgrading your weapons.

How To Get Hardened Iron

Hardened Iron is an upgrade material that you can use to upgrade your regular weapons to levels 16, 17, 18, and 19, as well as your special weapons to levels 8 and 9.

All weapon upgrades take place at Rigs in Ward 13.

Getting your hands on Hardened Iron might take a bit of effort. You can collect it by defeating enemies, searching through chests, and sometimes finding it randomly while exploring.

However, you might notice that it's not very common, especially at the beginning.

In order to increase your chances of finding Hardened Iron, it's important to raise your Power Level to 16 or higher.

If you're curious about boosting your Power Level, upgrading your Archetype Level and your weapons is the way to do so.

And if you want to keep track of it, take a look at the Character tab.

By reaching a power level of 16 or higher, you'll notice that Hardened Iron will be dropping more often from enemies, chests, and even as a drop in the open world.

Playing in Adventure Mode at higher difficulty levels increases your chances of getting Hardened Iron.

If you're looking for an alternative way to obtain Hardened Iron, consider visiting Cass, the same character who sells Amber Moonstone, at Ward 13.

Here, you can buy the upgrade material, Hardened Iron, from her shop for 300 scrap.
