Each archetype is unique, from their skills to their perks, meaning there are many utility perks waiting to be used. Now, the best perk depends on the way you play, but it can be overwhelming when deciding on which play style you want to choose from. Thankfully, Remnant 2 gifts you the possibility of combining the archetypes for some deadly combos and, if playing solo isn’t your thing, then teaming up with some other players can guide you nicely to the best ways to play.

Updated on May 3, 2024, by Mohamed El Ouardighi: : The Forgotten Kingdom just dropped, bringing along a fresh Archetype named the Invoker. So, we've updated this list to add its Utility Perk.

13 Spirit Within

Archon

The Archon utility perk is all about mod power, so if you enjoy using mods, it’s pretty good. The perk reduces the mod power requirement for all mods by 15 percent and, once upgraded, will allow you to regain 15 percent of the mod power after casting.

The only problem with this utility perk is its focus on mods. While there are many powerful mods, compared to others available in the game, this perk is easy to look over, because of both its numbers and its general use.

12 Body And Mind

Invoker

The Body and Mind Utility Perk from the Invoker is pretty decent. It activates whenever you have an Invoker skill active, boosting your movement speed by five percent and reducing damage taken by five percent. While it might not seem like much, that extra speed can be a lifesaver in the thick of battle, especially during intense boss fights. Sometimes, having that extra agility can be the difference between escaping to heal or reload your guns and getting overwhelmed.

Since the Invoker specializes in reducing skill cooldowns, you can count on having the Body and Mind effect active almost all the time. It's a valuable addition to your arsenal, complementing the bonuses you receive from different rings and amulets.

11 Gold To Lead

Alchemist

Using the Gold To Lead perk means that picking up scrap has a 15 percent chance of also awarding ammo to the player. When upgraded, the perk applies to picking up metal as well. This perk can be pretty useful at maintaining a good ammo supply, since metal and scrap drop quite commonly from enemies.

The 15 percent chance, while good, puts this perk a little further down the ranking, since many others have much bigger effects and boosts. The perk can be good if you’re playing alone, since you can keep up your ammo supply safely with all that loot, just for you.

10 Teamwork

Handler

The Teamwork perk means that the Handler and its companion gain a 15 percent increase in their revive speed. When upgraded, the revive speed is boosted by 30 percent and, while a Handler or companion is reviving, they receive 50 percent less damage.

This perk can be quite useful in certain situations. If you’re in a boss fight that’s gone a little wrong, then this perk can give you a quick hand in getting you back on your feet to get back into the fight. If you’re in a team, however, then the reviving sometimes comes after most of the enemies have been cleared. So, this perk is useful, but it seems to be aimed at the more frantic fights on the battlefield.

9 Dark Blood

Ritualist

Dark Blood is a handy Utility Perk that cuts down damage from negative status effects by 25 percent. Considering the Ritualist's knack for dishing out status effects, it's only right that they catch a break and aren't hit as hard by them.

Whether it's fire, shock, or bleed, your character will now endure the damage with more resilience than usual. This can come in handy when facing a variety of enemies and tough boss fights, like the showdown with the Red Prince.

8 Urgency

Hunter

The Hunter’s utility perk, Urgency, gives firearms a 15 percent increase in reload speed after a kill, which lasts for three seconds. When upgraded, you also gain a 15 percent increase in movement speed and the perk lasts for five seconds, instead of three.

This perk is quite similar to the Gunslinger’s perk but doesn’t quite match it in power. Urgency is active for three seconds after a kill, so you need to be sure that you reload after a kill, meaning you could end up reloading after every single kill, just to be sure. It also requires you to make the kill, which could be hard if you’re traveling with friends who manage to steal it at the last second.

7 Prospector

Explorer

The Prospector perk allows for a chance that higher-quality relic fragments will be discovered. Relic fragments are combined with your relic to boost its stats. Relic fragments can be found almost anywhere and are sold by Dwell too. The Explorer’s perk, however, is a huge boost if you want to find good quality items.

When upgraded, the perk grants you a five percent chance to pick up a second one of the same type or quality. Finding one relic is pretty good, especially if it pairs well with the way you’re trying to play, so finding two can boost your stats by quite a bit.

6 Quick Hands

Gunslinger

The Gunslinger perk grants a ten percent increase to reload speed for firearms and, when upgraded, that bonus is doubled if the magazine is empty. This perk is all about reloading, which is perfect if you enjoy the Gunslinger archetype.

When paired with the archetype’s damage perk, you can see an increase in reload speed, fire rate, and damage output, making you practically unstoppable out on the battlefield. Of course, you’ll have to make sure you empty the magazine to feel the benefits of this perk, so no reloading after shooting one bullet, no matter how tempting.

5 Outrage

Summoner

The Outrage perk means that, when using the sacrifice ability, you gain three percent lifesteal for each minion sacrificed. When upgraded, you also receive an increase in movement speed by 15 percent for ten seconds.

This Summoner perk can be useful in combat when you need some extra health, especially if you’re running solo. With the increase in movement speed at the upgraded level, it’s easy to see why this perk is one of the best, as it makes you even more of a machine out on the battlefield.

4 Circumvent

Invader

The Invade perk reduced the cost of evade and combat slide by ten percent and, when upgraded, allows perfect dodges to gain an additional 15 percent reduction. If you’re all about movement in Remnant 2, then this perk is perfect. Many bosses require a lot of evading, so this perk can be handy when you’re in a tight spot with health.

The perk is also useful during your general exploration of the game. If you find yourself trapped between lots of enemies, then the perk can give you a little help in dodging and weaving through hordes of enemies. When paired with other perks, like the prime perk and damage perk, you can become quite a tricky target when moving through areas.
