Beyond that, this aspect keeps you fully engaged and creates a continuous drive to uncover new hidden elements. Among the various things you'll discover within the game's worlds, there are weapons.

Since the central gameplay of this game revolves around gunplay, you have access to both melee and ranged; they are essential for your survival. You must consistently obtain strong weapons to adjust to the increasing game challenges as you progress. This is why you might want to consider getting your hands on this powerful melee weapon, Atom Splitter.
How To Find Atom Splitter
Fortunately, you can get the Atom Splitter early in the game from the first world, N'Erud. However, due to the game's random generation of locations, this might pose a minor challenge.
The Atom Splitter is found within a dungeon called the Void Vessel Facility. This particular location can spawn randomly in your N'Erud playthrough, regardless of which storyline you are following.
Once you locate this dungeon, progress forward until you reach a dead end with loud mechanical arms that move pods. Check the picture below for reference.
Wait for these robotic arms to pick a platform from down below. Upon spotting the moving platform, jump carefully onto the platform. Be aware that this jump carries some risk, so you might need a few attempts to get it right. Jumping without sprinting seems to have better results.
Sometimes, you can miss the platform when you arrive, so if you find yourself waiting for a long time with no platform, either die or rest at a checkpoint and then return to this location.
After you successfully land on this platform, quickly turn around and make your way to the ledge on your left. This can be achieved by either jumping or descending as the platform rises.
From here, continue along the path and drop down. In this room, you'll find the Atom Splitter right in front of you.
Some suggest that you might also come across this weapon in two other potential locations: The Putrid Domain or the Vault of the Formless. However, the process remains the same.
Atom Splitter Overview
The Atom Splitter is one of the most powerful melee weapons in the game.
This special weapon boasts a sci-fi appearance that looks like a futuristic sword. It comes with a high base damage of 100, making it effective even without any upgrades during the game's early stages.
The Atom Splitter has a longer reach compared to other melee weapons.
Additionally, it comes equipped with a special ability known as Fission Strike.
- When executing a neutral evade attack, it releases a wave of particle projectiles that deal 150 damage to enemies within a 20-meter radius.
- Performing a charged neutral evade attack increases the range by three times and boosts the damage by 25 percent.
Build Tips
If you're playing as a Challenger Archetype or focusing on a melee build, it's highly recommended to use this powerful weapon for close-quarters combat.
The Atom Splitter doesn't come with any built-in Mutators. This means you can choose and equip a Mutator that suits your style of play.
Since the Challenger tends to engage enemies up close for extended periods, there could be instances where you run low on bullets or don't have the chance to reload when cornered by enemies. Therefore, having a dependable weapon to rely on in such situations is crucial and can be a life savior.
