Redfall wastes no time setting the stage for its biggest battles against elite vampiric enemies known collectively as the Vampire Gods. These big, powerful bosses all play an important role in the game’s story and are introduced one by one at the end of each campaign chapter.

However, before you can face them head-on, you’ll have to get past their underlings that have seized control of various neighborhoods throughout the sleepy New England-inspired town. Considering how challenging some of these boss fights can be, you’ll want to make sure your vampire-hunting skills are up to par before taking on the best bosses in Redfall.

4 Hollow Man: Multi-Armed Madman

Hollow Man is the first boss you encounter in Redfall and features eight nasty-looking arms with a decayed rib cage housing his dark heart. Previously known as Dr. Addison, he served as an executive doctor at Aevum Laboratories, residing at the Addison Mansion along with his daughter Amelia.

Following the discovery of the vampirism trigger, Dr. Addison began conducting experiments on himself, eventually leading him down a wicked path. After taking up the mantle of Hollow Man, the now-corrupted Dr. Addison led an army of vampires to take over the town of Redfall.

Tips For Defeating Hollow Man In Redfall

Your battle with Hollow Man marks the first of several harrowing boss fights in Redfall. As such, you should pay close attention to his attack patterns and keep an eye out for any weak spots, namely his rib cage that becomes momentarily exposed throughout the fight.

Target this area with plenty of bullets and stakes, and you’ll have Hollow Man down in no time. Throughout the fight, he’ll also spawn vampire shades to try and chase you down, as well as blood bags to protect him. Destroy the blood bags and avoid the vampire shades while damaging his torso any chance you get.

3 Miss Whisper: Mother Nature’s Rapture

In addition to serving as Redfall’s second boss, Miss Whisper was once the second executive and lead researcher of Aevum Laboratories, working side-by-side with Dr. Addison, aka Hollow Man. She’s also responsible for giving the player-character Jacob Boyer his vampiric eye and raven companion.

Unfortunately, Miss Whisper’s good deeds end there, as she goes on to attack and slaughter Jacob’s Bellwether Security peers. Miss Whisper’s extensive exposure to vampirism eventually drove her to become a Medusa-like monster capable of growing tree roots from her body.

Tips For Defeating Miss Whisper In Redfall

From the start of Miss Whisper’s boss battle, it becomes immediately clear that she won’t go down as easily as Hollow Man. Throughout the fight, she’ll routinely fire homing branch-like projectiles that will seek out your location and deal large amounts of damage.

To make matters worse, Miss Whisper is quite elusive, frequently appearing, disappearing, and reappearing around the arena. Much like Hollow Man, she’s prone to summoning vampire shades. To defeat her, you’ll need to always stay on the move, firing off shots whenever she stands still.

2 Bloody Tom: Noxious Vampire, Terrible Son

Prior to the events of Redfall’s story, Bloody Tom was already considered a bad person. Obsessive over his executive role at Aevum Laboratories to a fault, the would-be vampire god at one point left his own father to die while suffering from a deadly disease.

This detail is later referenced in the game when your character is forced to use Bloody Tom’s father’s bell to summon the twisted tyrant from the depths of hell. It seems only fitting, considering how instrumental he was in orchestrating Redfall’s vampiric takeover.

Tips For Defeating Bloody Tom In Redfall

Bloody Tom’s boss fight differs from previous ones in that your character is almost always taking damage during the battle. This is due to the clouds of vampiric gas he summons across the map, which slowly drain your health while exposed to its fumes.

To this point, your best chances for surviving are to keep your eyes peeled for nearby gas clouds and continue moving around the map until Bloody Tom rears his ugly head from one of the nearby holes. Once you have an opening, bombard the villainous vampire with as much firepower as you can muster to win the fight.

1 Black Sun: Leader Of The Vampire Gods

Redfall’s final chapter sees you going toe-to-toe with the strongest vampire of them all, Black Sun. Credited with being the first biotechnologist to discover the vampirism trigger at Aevum Laboratories, her science career was cut short when she decided to make a deal with death.

This ultimately results in the creation of Black Sun, a terrifying otherworldly creature whose immense power puts her right at the top of Redfall’s vampire food chain. As part of her master plan, Black Sun uses her potent abilities to block out the sun and push the waters away from the island, effectively trapping Redfall’s inhabitants.

Tips For Defeating Black Sun In Redfall

As is the case with most final bosses, Black Sun’s battle rivals that of any other boss fight in the game. With this in mind, you’ll want to make sure you’re fully stocked on gear and healing items and have wrapped up any remaining sidequests in the story, as there truly is no coming back.

At the start of the fight, your priority should be to kill any vampires in the immediate vicinity. After that, Black Sun will summon The Totality, forcing you to fight him while untethering her victims. Once you kill The Totality, gather his vampire remains and keep fighting until you’ve defeated Black Sun and freed the town of Redfall.
