Police Confirm YouTubers Visited Rockstar HQ But "At No Point Did The Men Attempt To Gain Entry To The Premises"
Over the last 48 hours, reports have surfaced about two YouTubers visiting Rockstar North's HQ in Edinburgh. UberGaming visited the site on May 26, the day GTA 6 was due to launch, and claimed to have entered the building, with the police visiting their hotel room at a later date.
TheGamer has now received a response from Police Scotland, and while they confirmed that they attended the scene, they state that "no criminality was established" and only "advice was given."
Police Scotland Confirm YouTubers Visited Rockstar North, But "No Criminality Was Established"
On June 2, German YouTuber ÜberGaming uploaded a video documenting his trip to Edinburgh to visit Rockstar HQ. In the video, he shows an extremely short clip of himself entering the building, and then it cuts. It is accompanied by a picture of two police officers. He claims the police showed up to his hotel room and took his details in case there were any GTA 6 leaks.
TheGamer reached out to Edinburgh Police to match up the details of the situation, and this was the response:
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.40 pm on Tuesday, 26 May, 2026, we received a report of concern about two men filming outside a premises in Holyrood Road, Edinburgh.
“Officers attended, no criminality was established, and advice was given.
“At no point did the men attempt to gain entry to the premises.”
Officers attended, no criminality was established, and advice was given.
While Police Scotland's statement doesn't contradict ÜberGaming's claims, there are some minor discrepancies, including the visit to the hotel room. TheGamer has reached out to both ÜberGaming and Rockstar for further clarity.

In lieu of a third trailer, one fan claims to have set up acoustic monitoring equipment outside of Rockstar North's Edinburgh headquarters. Their plan is to check for spikes in volume because, in their mind, this must mean employees are celebrating the reveal of a new trailer.
Maybe, just maybe, we should all take a step back and let Rockstar do its thing. It did promise marketing would begin this summer, after all.
