PostsEarlier today, The Pokemon Company announced that the next set coming to the Pokemon Trading Card Game is Scarlet & Violet - Shrouded Fable, which is now up for pre-order at Pokemon Center and will be released in just a few months on August 2. There's a lot to the set, but let's kick things off with its biggest inclusion.
Pecharunt Is Making Its Pokemon TCG Debut
One of the big selling points of the Shrouded Fable set is that it will mark the TCG debut of Pecharunt, who was first introduced to Pokemon in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero expansion for Scarlet & Violet. In the TCG, Pecharunt will be a Darkness-type Pokemon that players can use as an ex card to switch in a benched Darkness-type Pokemon using the Subjugating Chains ability.
Pecharunt ex can also be paired by ex versions of the Loyal Three, Okidogi, Mukidori, and Fezandipiti to "unlock different play combinations".
Shrouded Fable's parallel foil cards will also feature a unique new foil pattern surrounding their artwork. Overall, the fet will feature three ACE SPEC rare Trainer cards, Five Pokemon ex cards and one Tera Pokemon ex card, 15 illustration rare Pokemon, 10 ultra rare Pokemon ex, Tera Pokemon ex, and Supporter cards.
Of course, there are also five special illustration rare Pokemon and supporter cards and five hyper-rare gold-etched cards, which means that there's plenty for collectors to try and find in the set. All of the Shrouded Fable products have just gone up for pre-order on the Pokemon Center for their release on August 2, although there's a Booster Bundle that will become available a month later on September 6.
