The third of the legendary dog Pokemon has arrived in Pokemon Sleep. From September 2 through September 16, Suicune will have a chance to appear during your sleep research in this two-week event. This will give players the chance to complete the legendary set if they've caught Entei and Raikou previously.

If you're looking for help and how-to guides for Pokemon Sleep, we've got everything you need right here.
PostsThis event is accompanied by bonuses, as well as differing buffs and Pokemon appearance rates that change from one week to the next. This guide will break down everything you need to know about the event and how to actively participate so that you have everything you need to succeed in subduing Suicune.
Suicune Research Event Information
While this event revolves around Suicune, the Aurora Pokemon and one of the three legendary dogs, it’s also about all the current Water-type Pokemon featured in the game.
There is also a secondary focus on the helpful bonuses happening from week to week. Then, of course, there is the Suicune Mane Exchange, which will be explored further in this guide.
The event is broken up into two weeks. During the first week, you can only take part in the event if you choose to sleep at Greengrass Isle, the first island that is open to you in the game.
In the second week, the event will be happening on Greengrass Isle, Cyan Beach, and Lapis Lakeside.
While some of the bonuses only apply to a single week at a time, some changes to the game will be happening between September 2 and September 15. Those are:
- All Water-type Pokemon on your team bring one extra ingredient each time they find one.
- Water-type helpers have a 1.5 multiplier toward having their main skill triggered.
- The Snorlax in each of the event areas is guaranteed to have Oran Berries set as one of their favorites.
- Pokemon of differing sleep styles will appear.
- Certain Water-type Pokemon are more likely to appear during your research sessions.
Week One Bonuses And Missions
There is only one additional bonus that applies to the first week of the Suicune Research, and as you might imagine, it benefits your Water-type Pokemon.
The main skill level of each of your Water-type helpers will be boosted by one. This means that if you have a Blastoise with level three Ingredient Magnet, it will behave as if they have the fourth-level version of that skill.
Accompanying your weekly missions, there will be event-based missions as well. These missions vary from week to week. During Week One of the event, the missions are:
Mission

Get Snorlax to Basic 2
Suicune Mane (15)
Get Snorlax to Ultra 1

Get Snorlax to Ultra 4
Suicune Mane (40)

Suicune Mane (50)

Week Two Bonuses And Mission
The second week has a few bonuses happening at once. Main skills of Pokemon will instead be boosted by three levels.
Another change is that a Snorlax with a higher rating will appear at the research site you selected. And, their starting power will fluctuate depending on where you’ve chosen to conduct your research for that week.
Then, specifically on Sunday,September 15, your drowsy power will be multiplied by 1.5.
Just like there were special missions on the first week, Week Two of the event also features six missions that, upon completion, will grant you more Suicune Mane. These missions are:
Mission

Get Snorlax to Ultra 5
Suicune Mane (15)

Forget Hidden Abilities, Sub Skills is where it's at in Pokemon Sleep
PostsSuicune Mane Exchange
You have a chance to accrue Suicune Mane during the event, which can be used as a currency at an event-only shop.
The most important things you can purchase with Suicune Mane are Suicune Incense and Suicune Biscuits, the latter of which, when fed to Suicune, increases their friendship counter by more than the bonus biscuit you receive at the start of your first research.
And, as mentioned above, you can gain even more of this event-only Mane by completing the weekly missions.
Naturally, if you’re able to complete all of these missions, you will pocket more of the important Mane to either give you more shots at seeing Suicune thanks to the incense, have a better chance at befriending Suicune thanks to the event biscuits, or buy other helpful items.
Event Bundles
As like with most of the events in Pokemon Sleep, there will be special bundles of three sizes you can choose from and purchase. However, these bundles are also split up.
Three appear in the General Shop during Week One of the event, and three appear in Week Two instead.
Week One Bundles
CloseThese bundles are the more expensive grouping, but it's due to the number and quality of the items that are included in each one.
This includes the Ultra Biscuits, which can only be obtained in bundles like this, and by purchasing them in the General Shop for 400 diamonds a pop!
