Funko showed Pokemon a lot of love in 2023 with a lot of new figures being added to its collection. That Funko Pop! train won't be slowing down even a little bit in 2024 as Pokemon has already revealed there are six new figures lined up for release in the coming year. The first of those six will be released exclusively through the Pokemon Center later this month, and you'll need to participate in a round of Who's That Pokemon should you want to know who it is at this early stage.

Scroll down to the post midway through this article if you do want to play Who's That Pokemon as we're about to reveal who it is and discuss the potential theme of all six upcoming Pops.

It didn't take Detective Pikachu to figure out which Pokemon the first silhouette belongs to. It's Lucario, and those of you who follow the Pokemon Funko Pop scene closely will likely be a little confused right now. Lucario is a pretty popular Pokemon and already has its own Pop! However, the sparkle around the silhouette, and the way the six platforms are displayed, has fans thinking this will be a slightly different Lucario from the figure already available.

The assumption is that Pokemon's new Lucario Pop! will be of the pearlescent variety. Funko has already given a number of its Pokemon Pops pearlescent makeovers, Eevee and Mewtwo among the most recent. On top of that, the only six Pops currently exclusive to the Pokemon Center are all pearlescent, and all six were revealed in an almost identical way to the tweet below. Placed on six pedestals and gradually revealed one by one.

Now the speculation on who will be joining Lucario can begin. After Umbreon got its very first Pokemon Pop! in 2023, its flocked version quickly followed. Clearly a popular option, perhaps the Eeveelution will complete the hat trick in 2024. There's likely a high chance of another starter or two being in there somewhere too. Oshawott perhaps, and Scorbunny has a figure that could be turned shiny in the months to come.

Even more for Pokemon fans to get excited about in 2024 despite the radio silence when it comes to what's next on the video game front. Nintendo waiting to reveal what's coming after the Switch likely has a lot to do with that. For now, you can pick up Scarlet & Violet bundled with all of its DLC for less than ever before.
