Much like the last two sets, Pokemon's next TCG expansion, which will be all about Team Rocket, has caused quite a stir. The Glory Of Team Rocket, the Japanese set from which Destined Rivals will pull in the US, isn't just getting cards, though. Pokemon has also teamed up with Boss Coffee to create some very limited edition Giovanni Team Rocket jackets.

Pokemon has announced it is once again teaming up with Boss Coffee in Japan to create some very limited edition jackets that look like something Giovanni might wear (thanks, VGC). The furry black jackets have a black and white emblem featuring the Team Rocket leader on the chest, and then an even bigger Giovanni emblem on the back.

If you thought some of the TCGs' latest ETBs have been hard to find, that'll be nothing compared to trying to land one of these jackets. Only five of them have been made, making them a whole lot rarer than almost any Pokemon card ever made. The good news is, unlike everything in the recent Destined Rivals pre-order drop, there are jackets money can't buy, so you don't have to worry about losing out on them to scalpers.

Only Five Of Them Exist, And You Can Potentially Own One

If you want to be in with a chance of being one of only five people to own one of these jackets, you will need to follow Boss Coffee's social media accounts and repost the right posts as and when they appear. The posts will start to appear on April 21 and the promotion will run until May 9. The five winners will be chosen at random, although I wouldn't be surprised if at least one of the jackets ends up on a resale site. I dread to think how much Pokemon fans will be willing to pay for it, though.

The latest Pokemon x Boss Coffee crossover isn't limited to jackets that only five of you will own. The Giovanni card from The Glory Of Team Rocket set can also be found in various Boss Coffee products. However, the promo card will be unique as it has the Boss Coffee logo printed on it. Boss Coffee is a Japanese brand, so the promo cards will only be distributed in Japan, though I'm sure there will be ways for collectors outside of Japan to get their hands on it if they really want to.

The Destind Rivals pre-order drop was chaos, shining the biggest spotlight yet on the issues new Pokemon TCG products have with scarcity and scalpers. The Pokemon Company has issued a statement letting fans know it's aware of the problems, but the vows to improve the situation sound similar to ones that have been made before, and things only keep getting worse.
