The Yamask and Galarian Yamask Research Day will be taking place on Saturday, October 19, 2024, active for three hours from 2pm to 5pm local time. Although this event is brief, there will be a lot that you'll want to take advantage of; read on to find out all the "ins and outs" of the Yamask and Galarian Yamask Research Day.

Featured Pokemon: Yamask And Galarian Yamask

Both Yamask and Galarian Yamask will be the featured Pokemon for this Research Day Event. Throughout the three hours of this Research Day Event, you will have the opportunity to obtain various Event Field Research Tasks, acquired from different PokeStops found in the game.

Upon the completion of each of these Event Field Research Tasks, you will be rewarded with a Pokemon encounter, giving you the opportunity to catch either Yamask or Galarian Yamask.

Either Yamask or Galarian Yamask encountered through these Field Research Tasks will have significantly increased chances of being Shiny, the main highlight of this event.

Make sure to obtain and complete as many of these Event Field Research Tasks during the three hours of this event, giving you great chances of acquiring both a Shiny Yamask and a Shiny Galarian Yamask.

Wild Encounter Pokemon

During this event, there will also be a change in the Wild Pokemon that you encounter. There will be five different event-themed Pokemon appearing more frequently in the wild, each provided for you below:

  • Zigzagoon
  • Galarian Zigzagoon
  • Cubone
  • Duskull
  • Shieldon

Event Timed Research

There will also be Event Timed Research available for this event, purchased from the Pokemon Go in-game shop for $2.00 USD.

This Timed Research will require you to complete different Field Research Tasks during this event, rewarding you with additional Yamask and Galarian Yamask encounters.

Yamask and Galarian Yamask encountered through this Timed Research will also have increased odds of being Shiny, just like those encountered through Field Research Tasks.

If you purchase this Timed Research, make sure to complete all the tasks before the end of this event, giving you several opportunities to encounter and catch multiple Shiny Pokemon.
