We have completely updated this guide with everything you need to know to make the most of this event, taking place from Monday, April 22, 2024, at 10am local time to Friday, April 26, 2024, at 8pm local time.
Event Bonuses
There will be three different bonuses available during Pokemon Go's Sustainability Week Event this year, each pertaining to your Buddy Pokemon. These three bonuses include:
- Buddy Pokemon will bring you souvenirs and presents at a higher rate.
- Buddy Pokemon will adventure with you for a longer duration after being fed.
- Buddy Pokemon will only need to travel half the distance to obtain Buddy Hearts.
Event Research
Field Research Task Encounters
There will be special Event Field Research available from visiting and spinning different PokeStops around the world. Those that reward you with Pokemon encounters will provide you with a chance to catch different event-themed Pokemon, including:
- Binacle
- Combee
- Drilbur
- Trubbish
- Foongus
Event Collection Challenges
There will be different event-themed Collection Challenges available to complete during this year's Sustainability Week Event. Complete these by catching and evolving specific Pokemon featured throughout this event, rewarding you with Stardust and XP.

PostsEvent Egg Pokemon
Hatching 2 km Eggs that are obtained during this Sustainability Week's event window will provide you with a chance to obtain different Pokemon than those that are typically available. More notably, all Pokemon hatched from these event 2 km Eggs will have increased chances of being Shiny when hatched.
The five Pokemon that you will have the chance of hatching from these 2 km Eggs are:
- Binacle
- Trubbish
- Combee
- Drilbur
- Foongus
Event Pokemon Showcases
Keep your eye out for different Pokemon Showcases during this year's Sustainability Week, featuring different Pokemon that will be appearing throughout this event.
Make sure to save and enter large event-themed Pokemon that you catch, including Combee, Drilbur, Trubbish, Foongus, and Binacle, as these will provide you with the most points in these Pokemon Showcases.
