PS Plus's Missing Ratchet & Clank Game Mentioned In Subscriber Email

Summary
- PlayStation appears to have confirmed the one Ratchet & Clank game missing from PS Plus is coming soon.
- The email claims Secret Agent Clank was added to Plus this month, but it was not.
- PlayStation has gradually been adding Ratchet games to Plus and this all but confirms Secret Agent Clank will complete the collection in August.
If you're subscribed to PS Plus Premium, then you can play every single Ratchet & Clank game ever made right now. Well, almost. Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters was added to the Classics Catalog this month which means there is now just one game from the series missing from PS Plus - Secret Agent Clank. PlayStation appears to be on the cusp of rectifying that though after it mentioned the PSP game in a recent email to subscribers.
A screenshot of the email shared by Radec on Twitter shows PlayStation informing subscribers that they can play Secret Agent Clank via the Classics Catalog right now alongside July additions Jeanne d'Arc and Job Simulator. The problem is, that's not true. Secret Agent Clank isn't playable on PS Plus yet. If you don't own an OG copy, the only way to play the lesser-known Ratchet & Clank spinoff is via its PS2 port.

PostsSince Size Matters, the Ratchet game that was actually added to PS Plus this month and is available now is missing from the email, my guess is whoever at PlayStation curated this email accidentally mentioned the game coming next rather than the game we already have. An easy mistake to make, particularly when PlayStation has been gradually adding every Ratchet & Clank game to PS Plus and it was assumed that Secret Agent Clank would be completing the collection in August.
No, Secret Agent Clank Is Not On PS Plus. Yet.
Don't be surprised if the email has been corrected by the time it finds its way to your inbox, and we'll now have to wait a couple of weeks for confirmation Secret Agent Clank is coming to PS Plus Premium. PlayStation tends to make two PS Plus announcements per month, and we've not even had the first for August yet which reveals the Essential games all Plus subscribers can claim for free. That means it'll be at least two weeks until Secret Agent Clank is revealed, and then a few more days after that until it's added to the Classics Catalog.
PlayStation has low-key been turning 2024 into the year of the mascot. Additions to PS Plus mean every Sly Cooper game is now on the service, as is every Jak & Daxter game. Ratchet & Clank has followed a similar PS Plus route as Jak & Daxter which saw its library completed on modern consoles via the addition of the PSP's Daxter. All of this ahead of Astro Bot's launch on September 6 feels very intentional.
