You can play around with various looks to create something scary, creepy, weird, funny, whatever vibe you're going for. 9 Edged Grin
The Edged Grin mask has a super creepy look thanks to that namesake smile, which is made with jagged rows of spiky teeth. The squinty eyes and big, arched eyebrows help to really create that sinister villain look. The mask is black and white, which makes it even more terrifying.
This is one of many monochrome masks available from the Mask Designer but for sheer creep factor, this design stands out. The design makes you shudder a bit every time you see it, which might be exactly what you’re going for.
8 Goalie
The goalie mask is a classic. When you want that 1980s horror movie vibe, this is going to be your go-to. There's something aggressively frightening about the hockey mask, which has been used by more than one pop culture character in TV and movie history. The minute you see this mask outside the arena, you know it’s bad news. Whoever is wearing this mask is someone you don’t trifle with.

7 Handy Smith
A recolored version of the Dead Red, Handy Smith is a grotesque take on an animated granny smith apple. It has an adorable little expression but it's covered in blood... and a bite is missing from it. This is a wonderful coming together of the cute and the gory. If you like your horror with a gruesomely cute twist, Handy Smith is the mask you want to get.
The colors of the mask are perfect and the expression is just adorable enough to make this disturbing to look at every time you see it. This mask makes an impression on everyone who sees it.
6 Indomitable
The Indomitable mask is a customized and bedazzled version of the Billy Ballistic mask. This mask is terrifying due to its plainness. It is expressionless and monochrome, a smooth white with just a little bit of definition to suggest angry eyebrows and a little bit of structure around the nose and mouth. It’s the kind of plain, expressionless mask that just lingers with you, creeping you out even when you aren’t looking at it.

The eyes are a deep, dark black. They gaze out at you with unfathomable malice and it's positively frightening. The little jewels added in this version of the mask just up the scare factor.
5 Le Fantome
Theater fans will love this Easter egg. The Le Fantome mask is definitely based on the Phantom of the Opera. In the popular story, the title character is known to wear a half-mask to cover his hideously disfigured face.
This mask is one of the most detailed in the entire game. The part of the face you can see is fully realized, with beautiful shading and texture in full color. The facial hair and the creeper grin are just perfect for a mask of the Phantom character. The half mask design definitely brings the famed character to mind.
4 Masque de Fer
Whether or not you're a literary or movie fan, this mask is scary to look at. The Masque de Fer is clearly based upon the famous legend of the man in the iron mask. As the story goes, there was a mysterious prisoner in the famous Bastille in France in the 1600s.
His identity was kept a secret, so much so that the man was imprisoned in an iron mask that he was forced to wear all the time. The design of the iron mask is super chilling and it's wonderfully captured in the Masque de Fer, which is available through the Mask Designer.
3 Smokey
The Smokey mask looks like something out of one of those old movies. This mask combines a little bit of the funny with a little macabre. It's weird, it's scary, it's ugly, but it's a little bit comical, too. Smokey is a clown, one that's not in a good mood. He's got a tiny little hat, a big cigar, and the classic red and white makeup.

This mask is absolutely beautifully rendered in full color. The red makeup on Smokey gleams and the little hat is actually stained and faded. The level of detail is stunning and this mask never fails to get a second look.
2 Striped Sam
The Striped Sam mask can be customized but even in its base state, it's visually arresting. The mask has red and white stripes and the little cap on top has a white star against a blue band. The mask is a recolor and slight redesign of the Seedy Sam mask, which is based on the Uncle Sam character that first became popular in pro-war posters of the 1800s.
The familiar face of Sam becomes a frightening caricature in this design, complete with a terrifying smile and all. Striped Sam is out to get you in some way and it’s got nothing to do with recruitment or war bonds.
1 Unwitnessed
If a mask is capable of driving someone completely mad, it might be the Unwitnessed. This all-gray mask features a grinning face that is beautifully detailed. It has a strong chin, big teeth, wavy hair, and a blindfold that just raises the hackles on your skin.
Looking at this mask just encourages questions and it's sure to make you shiver at least once. This mask looks amazing even without color. This is a great mask to choose if you want to capture that completely spooked-out feeling of fear. The monochrome design allows the details to stand out sharply, emphasizing the level of care that went into this mask.
