In the action-packed world of Palworld, you'll need to navigate a realm teeming with challenges: from constructing a secure base to fighting off crime syndicates to master the untamed wilds. Of course, you won't be able to do it without your Pals.

Who needs guns, anyway?
PostsThough it might be tempting to spam feed them the readily available berries, these simple foods are a temporary solution at best, and can result in your Pals developing ailments at worst. To ensure the well-being of your Pals, you'll need to upgrade their diet, and that means dipping your toes into agriculture.
Palworld is currently in Early Access. Certain details and mechanics may undergo changes as the game updates.
What Pals Drop Lettuce Seeds
As with most resources in the game, Lettuce Seeds can most reliably be farmed by defeating or catching the right Pals. The following Pals will drop the seeds you need to get started on your gourmet meals.
Catching these Pals will also grant you the same drops as if you defeated them. Make sure to fill out that Paldeck while farming for resources!
Bristla
Bristla's are a Grass element Pal that resemble a prickly, leafy humanoid. They can be found around the Ancient Ritual Site fast travel point at the coordinates (-15, -295), though they'll spawn everywhere on the Moonless Shore island.
They tend to flee when confronted, but will fight back if attacked.
Cinnamoth
Cinnamoths are Grass element Pals that resemble large orange moths. They can be found around the aptly named Cinnamoth Forests fast travel point at the coordinates (-70, -272); though they can also be found almost everywhere else on the Moonless Shore island.
Similar to the Bristla, Cinnamoths will try to flee when confronted, but will fight back if they are attacked.
Broncherry Aqua
The Broncherry Aqua is a Field Alpha Boss that can be found in the wilderness. When encountered as a Field Alpha Boss, it is Level 30.
Though its boss icon can be found at (-168, -448), you'll need to find it in the Shoal Mineshaft dungeon, whose entrance can be found at (-142, -435).
As with all Field Alpha Bosses, the Broncherry Aqua will respawn after a one-hour cooldown.
Wumpo Botan
Wumpo Botan is yet another Field Alpha Boss that can be found in the wilderness at (456, -40). When encountered as a Field Alpha Boss, it is Level 38.
Wumpo Botan can also be found in the Wilderness Sanctuary No. 2. at (-620, -166), southwest of the Forgotten Island fast travel point.
As with all Field Alpha Bosses, the Wumpo Botan will respawn after a one-hour cooldown.
Of these creatures, the Cinnamoth will likely be the easiest one to farm, as they are plentiful, respawn quickly and most reliably drop Lettuce Seeds!
Where To Buy Lettuce Seeds
If wrangling with dinosaur bosses for some lettuce doesn't sound like your cup of tea, you can also buy Lettuce Seeds from various Wandering Traders in the game.
One of the Wandering Traders at Fisherman's Point (-479, -744) carries both Lettuce Seeds and the Lettuce itself. You can find him on the wharf to the southeast of the village. His stock is as follows:
Lettuce
150 Gold
Lettuce Seeds
200 Gold
How To Plant Lettuce
Unfortunately, you won't be able to just feed your Pals these seeds. In order to properly make use of them, you'll need to plant them in Lettuce Plantations.
The technology to craft the Lettuce Plantations can only be learned at a whopping Level 38 (out of 50 maximum levels), making them a mid-late game recipe to obtain.
The recipe for a Lettuce Plantation is as follows:
Lettuce Plantation
- Pal Fluids x10
- Lettuce Seeds x3
- Wood x100
- Stone x75
Once you've obtained the Lettuce Plantation, place them in your base andassign the right Pals to work on your farm via the Palbox. In order to fully automate the harvesting of your Lettuce, make sure to have Pals with the following work suitabilities:
- Planting — Good Planting Pals include the Dinossom (Lv. 2), Mammorest (Lv. 2), Broncherry (Lv. 3), and Lyleen (Lv. 4) though most Grass Element Pals will be able to fulfill this role in the early game.
- Watering — Good Watering Pals include the Penking (Lv. 2), Surfent (Lv. 2), Azurobe (Lv. 3), and Jormuntide (Lv. 4), though most Water Element Pals will be able to start you off in the early game.
- Gathering — Good Gathering Pals include the Petallia (Lv. 2), Tombat (Lv. 2), Verdash (Lv. 3), and Frostallion Noct (Lv. 4), though most bird-like and humanoid Pals will suffice in the early game.
Once you've crafted the Lettuce Plantation, it will become completely self-sustaining, and you no longer need any more Lettuce Seeds. The seeds are solely used for the crafting recipe!
What To Do With Lettuce
Lettuce can be used for the following two recipes in Palworld.
Salad
- Lettuce x2
- Tomato x2
- Increases work speed temporarily
Grilled Lamball
- Lamball Mutton x1
- Lettuce x2
- Reduces SAN depletion rate temporarily
- Increases work speed temporarily
Both recipes can be crafted in a Cooking Pot, or other cooking production stations. Pals with the Kindling work suitability can help you cook.
With the proper setup, the sourcing of materials for Salads can be completely automated, making it a filling and convenient snack for your Pals to maximize their efficiency.
