- Careful strategic planing in Palworld includes choosing powerful and functional Pals for battle and base tasks.

- Gildane in battle, Silvegis for tankiness, and Azurmane for generating electricity are top Pals to consider.
Palworld is not only a survival game, but also one that demands careful strategic planning. This is largely tied to the Pals in your party and at your base. If you randomly choose Pals in these areas, things might not go as smoothly as you’d hope.

Which boss did you fight out of order?
PostsHowever, if you want to run everything seamlessly, gain the upper hand in battles, and manage your base efficiently, you’ll need to select the best Pals. Of course, not all Pals are equally powerful or functional. With the Feybreak update introducing 24 new Pals to the game, if you’re curious about which ones are the best, you’re in the right place.
10 Omascul
CloseWho wouldn’t want a Pal with an owl-like mask? Owls symbolize wisdom; wisdom connects to experience, and experience leads to EXP. Have you ever felt burdened by the task of leveling up your Pals or helping them gain EXP? If this has become a chore for you, then you should catch Omascul as soon as possible.
While Omascul isn’t particularly strong in battle and offers almost no help in your base, its true value lies in its ability to boost the amount of EXP your entire team earns while it’s in your party. This makes it an invaluable ally for those looking to level up their Pals more efficiently.
9 Prunelia
ClosePrunelia isn’t exactly known for being a strong Pal in battle. In fact, just by looking at its sweet and delicate appearance, you can tell it’s not designed for combat. For this reason, the best way to utilize Prunelia is in your base. With work suitabilities like Planting, Medicine Production, Gathering, Transporting, and Handiwork, it becomes an incredibly effective Pal for base tasks.

Here is where you can find Prunelia in Palworld.
PostsHowever, what makes Prunelia truly invaluable in your base isn’t just its work suitability. Its partner ability, Prayer for Abundant Harvest, allows you to yield more crops from your fields. While venturing to Feybreak Island to find it can be challenging, obtaining this Pal early through the right breeding combinations will greatly benefit you in the long run.
8 Warsect Terra
CloseWarsect Terra increases your defense and reduces damage from fire-type attacks when it is on the field, thanks to its partner skill. Unlike regular Warsects, Warsect Terra is actually easier to find. Warsect can be located in No. 2 Wildlife Sanctuary, though it doesn’t always spawn there. Additionally, Warsect Terra is exclusively a Ground elemental type.
Not only is it powerful in battle, but it’s also highly useful in your base, as it has level three suitability for both Transporting and Mining work. On top of that, its golden shell adds a cool and distinctive touch compared to regular Warsects.
7 Gildane
CloseGildane is one of the Pals you can find on Feybreak Island. With its majestic appearance, this Pal also serves as a mount. While it’s a fast ground mount, there are faster options available, such as Pyrin, Rayhound, and Fenglope.

PostsHowever, when you ride Gildane, your attacks become Ground-elemental, giving you an advantage in battles against Electric-type Pals. That said, since its Work Suitability is limited to Gathering, it’s more beneficial to use Gildane as a battle partner rather than keeping it idle at your base.
6 Silvegis
CloseWith its impressive appearance reminiscent of a legendary Pal, Silvegis is a Dragon-type Pal adorned with metallic parts on its neck and feet. It’s highly reliable in terms of HP and DEF.
On Feybreak Island, you can only encounter its Alpha Pal version. However, it’s also possible to obtain its regular form through specific breeding combinations.
Silvegis also boasts one of the best dragon attacks in the game, Aegis Charge. This skill increases the duration of your shield if you’re riding Silvegis, making you more tanky in battles. That said, when it comes to speed, Silvegis isn’t the best ground mount.
5 Celesdir
CloseCelesdir is a graceful Neutral-type Pal, easily recognized by its glowing tail, which stands out even more in the dark. It learns Holy Nova, one of the best Neutral attacks in the game. While Bee Quiet and Megaton Implode are stronger, using them causes the Pal to self-destruct, making them risky choices.

Neutral never looked so strong.
PostsHoly Nova, on the other hand, poses no such risk, making Celesdir a powerful yet cautious option in battle. Additionally, with a Lumbering work suitability at level four, Celesdir is a valuable asset to your base. Its partner skill increases auto recovery speed when riding, adding a unique and useful benefit.
4 Xenolord
CloseFollowing the introduction of the Xenovader and Xenogard in the Sakurajima update, the Xenolord, the lord of these alien Pals, was added to the game with the Feybreak update. This Pal cannot be found in nature and is one of the four raid bosses in the game.
Therefore, obtaining it requires defeating a challenging raid boss; however, if you know the tricks of the battle, you can make it easier. With its high stats, Xenolord is a highly valuable Pal in combat. Additionally, it can be used as a flying mount, though it is not as fast as Jetragon.
3 Azurmane
CloseOne of the most important features of Azurmane is its work suitability, Generating Electricity, which is at level four. Without Azurmane, the only other Pal with a level four Generating Electricity is Orserk, found at Wildlife Sanctuary No.3, and since it doesn’t always spawn, finding it can sometimes be quite frustrating.

The ultimate electric steed awaits!
PostsTherefore, its addition to the game with the Feybreak update is a nice benefit. Not only is it a functional Pal for the base, but it also learns the Bolt Blink skill, one of the two strongest electric skills. As a mount, it allows you to dash while in the air, making it a unique mount for overcoming obstacles.
2 Frostallion Noct
CloseUntil the Feybreak update, the only way to obtain Frostallion Noct was through a specific breeding combo. By breeding Helzephyr and Frostallion, you could obtain this Pal, but now it can be found on Feybreak Island.
With impressive stats, this Pal is also highly functional as a flying mount. Additionally, when riding it, your attacks transform into Dark type. However, despite being so powerful, it's quite strange that this Pal, referred to as the Night Caller in its Palpedia entry, doesn’t have its own exclusive skill.
1 Bastigor
CloseBastigor's Palpedia entry focuses on its uncontrollable urge to punch anything round, which is why it's said that the toughest challenge for it is making a snowman. However, aside from this, Bastigor is the partner of Bjorn, one of the game's tower bosses, and cannot be found in the wild; it can only be obtained through a specific breeding combo.
As one of the strongest Ice-type Pals in the game, Bastigor is an excellent counter to Dragon-element Pals. It is not only effective in battles but also useful in your base, as it has high Lumbering, Mining, and Cooling work suitabilities, making it a Pal you'll want to keep in your base.
