- The Benefits Of New Game Plus
Once you beat Little Witch Nobeta, you’ll gain access to New Game Plus mode. This mode offers multiple benefits to let you enjoy the game more and see what else you can find. However, to make the most out of this mode, you must understand what it offers and what you lose, so you don’t waste time.

With that in mind, you’ll want to see what the game offers, consider your situation, and see if you want to start New Game Plus or stick with your current file. That way, it won’t catch you by surprise and cause you to face unexpected setbacks.
Since this guide will help you learn about New Game Plus, it’ll contain spoilers, so only look at it if you’re near the end of the game or finished it.
The Point Of No Return
While playing the game, you’ll reach the Spirit Realm - The Throne Statue. Once you reach this Statue, you’ll see the throne ahead, so if you approach it and fight the final boss, you’ll face the point of no return.
The game warns you about the previous point of no return when switching from the castle to the Spirit Realm, but it doesn’t provide a warning here. Once you finish the boss, you set your file up for New Game Plus and can’t continue from before the boss fights, so you can’t do anything else in the area.
That means you should ensure you did everything you want in the Spirit Realm before you fight the boss. Otherwise, you’ll need to play through the game again if you want to find everything else in the area.
How To Start New Game Plus
Once you finish the final boss, you need to load the file. If you go to New Game and try to start a new game, you won’t get New Game Plus. You must continue it from the file you completed the game. Once you load it, the beginning cutscene will play, and you’ll start your New Game Plus file.
You should also note that the game doesn’t let you copy files to other slots, so you should ensure you want to complete it before you start.

The Enemies And Difficulty Settings
Once you start the game, you won’t easily play through it since it’ll increase the health and strength of enemies. While that may seem intimidating, you’ll still deal plenty of damage and can easily defeat enemies with a single magic attack, so you won’t have much to worry about.
On the other hand, you can’t change the difficulty setting, so you’ll use the same difficulty. For example, if you finish the game on Standard difficult, you can’t switch it to Advanced. However, you can lower the difficulty from Advanced to Standard, but you can’t move it back up.
That means if you want to play through the game on Advanced, you’ll need to start a new file and play through it. You can start a New Game Plus file on your Advanced file, allowing the enemies to scale off that difficulty setting.
What You Keep In New Game Plus
Once you start your New Game Plus file, you’ll retain multiple things from your previous playthrough.
What You Keep
What It Means
How It Impacts Your File
Items You Collected
If you look at your Items in the menu, the game will keep all the items you collected while playing through the game.
All the items you previously collected won’t respawn on the map, so you won’t waste time picking up items you already got. You can also use New Game Plus to return to the first half of the game and collect any items you missed.
Consumables You Carried
If you distatic.aayyy.com/topic/dn/’t use all your consumables during the final boss, you’ll keep them in the next playthrough.
You can bring powerful items to the earlier parts of the game. You can then use them to help you with battles or areas you struggled with, so you won’t need to use items with curse values.
Spell and Bag Expansion Upgrades
Every spell and bag expansion upgrade you collected will carry over.
- The upgrades will allow you to start the game with the best spells and abilities. That means you won’t have to slog through the game using Arcane and can utilize the other powerful spells to defeat enemies easily.
- You can also recollect the spell and bag expansion upgrades available. For example, if you only collected three fire upgrades, and you collect the first one again, it’ll still upgrade your fire spell again.
- Each of them maxes out at level five, and you can increase your bag to eight items.
Level Ups and Soul Essence
All the levels you put into your stats and leftover soul essence will go to your file.
- You’ll make it easier to max out your stats. You’ll also get some soul essence from the final boss, meaning you can upgrade your stats more once you complete the game.
- You can also continuously play through the game and use New Game Plus not to get bored fighting the same enemies while getting more soul essence to boost your stats.
Unlocked Costumes
You’ll keep every costume you unlocked, and they carry over to other files.
Since costumes are cosmetic, they won’t impact the gameplay. However, it’s nice to have access to your favorite outfits.
Your History
The game keeps track of multiple stats, including your playtime, how much soul essence you collected, and even your total absorbed Mana.
- You can see it as legacy information. Use it to see how long it takes you to 100 percent the game.
- You can also use it to track your Mana absorbed, so you’ll know how much longer it’ll take to unlock the Bunny DLC costume.

What You Lose In New Game Plus
Even though you get all these benefits, you should note a few things you don’t get to keep if you start a new file.
What You Lose
What It Means
How It Impacts Your File
Teleport Ability
It allows you to teleport between Goddess Statues.
You can’t skip to later parts of the game and must play through it as usual.
Statue Locations
You don’t have all the statue locations once you learn Teleport.
Spirit Realm Animations And Voice Lines
Nobeta doesn’t have their adjusted voice lines and improved melee attack animations.
Your melee attacks come out slower, meaning they’re less effective than they were during the second part of the game.
The Benefits Of New Game Plus
If you aren’t sure whether you should start a new game or try New Game Plus, you should consider the benefits you’ll enjoy.
- You’ll make it easier to 100 percent the game since you’ll already have your previous progress.
- You can get through the game faster and have an easier time leveling up your character since you’ll get more soul essence. You can also use all the spells from the start, allowing you to fight off enemies efficiently.
- If you distatic.aayyy.com/topic/dn/'t find all the upgrades during your first playthrough, you can get your bag expansion and spells to the max level.
- Once you reach the third statue in the Okun Shrine, you can go down the path across from the statue to start the Secret Passage section. Once you finish this area and defeat the Enraged Specter Armor, you’ll unlock the Teleport ability, which you can utilize at the start of the game rather than the later half.
- You can try some fun challenge runs, such as beating the game without or with minimal upgrades and then trying to do the same against the stronger enemies in New Game Plus.
