The Sujimon sensation that began in Yakuza: Like A Dragon continues with the introduction of raids (and other Sujimon features) in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth. With an expanded Sujimon battle and rank-up system, Kasuga has more control over Sujimon than ever before, as they can now be recruited to fight by his side.

Once you've completed the tutorial with the Sujimon Sensei and chosen your starter Sujimon, you're officially ready to dive into the wonderful world of Sujimon. Sujimon Raids put Sujimon recruiting in your hands, which can be especially helpful if you've had awful luck with the Gacha machine spins.

What Are Sujimon Raids?

Sujimon Raids are essentially regular street battles with a twist: you'll have a chance at capturing the defeated Sujimon.

While it may sound counterintuitive, you will not enter a Sujimon Battle during a raid, it will be Kasuga and his regular party fighting against the assembled group of Sujimon.

You can encounter Sujimon Raids on almost any street once you've unlocked them in chapter four, but you can also check for them on your map if you are specifically seeking one out.

On the map, you'll notice a displaytimer, counting down how long (in real-time) before Sujimon gather at that location, allowing you to challenge them in a Sujimon Raid.

The map also indicates the type of Sujimon you can expect to encounter from the five elemental types:

  1. Blaze
  2. Frost
  3. Nature
  4. Light
  5. Shadow

Don't worry about getting there tooearly or after the raid starts, as the Sujimon stick around for a bit – and there's even a way to start raids before the timer finishes. More on that to come.

How Do You Start A Sujimon Raid?

To start a Sujimon Raid that has already begun, all you need to do is walk up to the group of Sujimon and talk to them.

You'll be able to check a preview of the Sujimon types and theirlevels before you challenge them.

If the Sujimon are more than two or threelevelsabove you, you should just walkaway.

The battle will be very difficult, and even if you win, there's a highlikelihood that the Sujimon you attempt to recruit will run away after you attempt to win them over with a gift.

What Are Bonus Raids?

Bonus raids have a random chance to trigger after you complete a Sujimon Raid by defeating the group.

A bonus raid may result in either a rewardraid or a legendaryraid.

A reward raid will offer you extraitems that will help recruit new Sujimon or power up the ones you've already captured.

A legendary raid will give you the chance to fight and capture a LegendarySujimon.

If you want to trigger a legendary raid specifically, bring a Warrior's Musk and use it by interacting with the raid circle.

This will also help to trigger the raid before the timer has elapsed.

What Rewards Do You Get From Sujimon Raids?

Sujimon Raids primarily offer Sujimon-based items and are extremely useful if you're farming Gacha Tickets to recruit new Sujimon.

You'll also receive SujimonGifts, which will help you to capture defeated Sujimon who stick around either after a raid or a street battle.

If you're not as interested in acquiring the Sujimon items, then you may prefer the upgrade items, like Iron or Ice Fragments, which are extremely valuable in crafting and upgrading your weapons.

Regardless of what you're after, Sujimon Raids are worth challenging as they award experience for your party, helpful items, and the chance to recruit Sujimon directly.

It's a win-win-win situation that is worth your time and effort.
