The Legends of Runeterra: Forces From Beyond Expansion features new champions from the Shadow Isles and Shurima, noting them as Evelynn, Gwen, and Kai'sa. This expansion also introduces a new mechanic, with the cards being Evolve and Hallowed. These champions have no real correlation, but each offers a different story that makes you curious about where they might go.

Of course, these new characters all range in their missions and attitude. Thus, the artwork shows their different personalities and expertise in their assignments. The artwork draws your attention to the minor details and keeps your focus so that you may forget it's your turn.

10 Domination

Legends of Runeterra: Forces Beyond Domination Artwork by Kudos Productions

Not all demons go about tempting; some take everything within their path as they see fit. In this artwork, we get a good look at a demoness portraying themselves as a Shurima individual. Still, with the reflection of the castle walls, we can see her proper form as everyone around her bends to her whims, befitting the name of the card perfectly. The aggressive nature she exudes just makes people bow to her.

Kudos Productions carefully showcases this demoness' power by having her engulfed in golden light as she sits on a throne made of pure gold, making you aware of how this one person is just above everyone and everything that surrounds her.

9 Evil Imperfectionist

Legends of Runeterra: Forces Beyond Evil Imperfectionist by Kudos Productions

Kudos Production was able to expertly show so much within this artwork while also keeping our attention focused on the forefront. We have an experiment that will turn into a disaster, and in the background, you can see the future self bang on the window and try to get the younger self to notice so that the past would stop the experiment.

The sharpness of the electricity gives you a good idea that things will only get worse if she continues, but you can also see the excitement in the girl's eyes as she forgoes the danger to see the result.

8 Kinkou Student

Legends of Runeterra: Forces Beyond Kinkou Student Artwork by Kudos Productions

This is by far one of the most delicate pieces of artwork within this expansion. We have a student meditating and training under the red trees surrounding her, with Shen in the background watching her process.

Using the leaves to fall and create a swirling path in the air gives you a sense of calmness, and the student's focused face magnifies the situation by letting you know that there is no sense of danger and nothing can break the student's focus. Plus, using purple to show the student's energy compliments the red in the background, which is unique considering that the colors usually contrast each other.

7 Starhound Pack

Legends of Runeterra: Forces Beyond Starhound Pack Artwork by Kudos Productions

It is a piece featuring magical Tibetan Mastiffs with constellations embedded in their fur. It's mind-boggling at first, but that plays into the expertise of the craft as these animals make you aware that there is something unique about them, and yet you can't take your eyes off them as they're entrancing you by the beauty of their fur and aptitude.

Also, a tiny detail, but within the coat of the animals, you can spot several of the stars being connected by streaks of starlight, forming constellations.

6 Evolved Kai'Sa

Legends of Runeterra: Forces Beyond Evolved Kai'sa Artwork by Kudos Productions

A purple beam pierces through a void creature, enticing you to follow the beam's trail to find the culprit, Kai'sa, fighting her never-ending war against the Void. This artwork is done masterfully by having the creature in the forefront but blurred so that it doesn't take up the entirety of our focus but gives us a good idea of how skillful and powerful Kai'sa is.

Not to mention the incredible detail of Kai'sa herself, her body ranging from being a mixture of the Void and a human girl, showing her descent from human to creature.

5 Sultur

Legends of Runeterra: Forces Beyond Sultur Artwork by Kudos Productions

Temptation comes in many forms, and Kudos Production gave it to us with Sultur through the art of storytelling. This piece is fantastic because of the gasped and shocked expressions of the two individuals listening to Sultur's story. The little bits of horror hidden from their eyes are fascinatingly done.

By showcasing Sultur's proper form by the window's reflection, plus the candle flame flashing an evil smile, it perfectly gives you an idea of how these demons can hide so well in plain sight.

4 Evolved Gwen

Kudos Production portrays Gwen's playful and unserious nature, even when she's about to fight off the Black mist with only herself and her followers. Even amid battle, she keeps her smile and light-hearted nature.

By lighting her pair of scissors with bright blue colors, it contrasts the darkness that the Black Mist brings, gravitating your focus to Gwen herself, who looks like she's skipping straight into the darkness with confidence. Plus, all of Gwen's followers go into battle as if they're continuing a grand party instead of a deadly confrontation, which also plays into the nature of Gwen wonderfully.

3 Vora

Legends of Runeterra: Forces Beyond Vora Artwork by Kudos Productions

Kudos Production drew the artwork for this card so beautifully that you can't say this is one of the best things made within the Forces From Beyond. We have Vora, a demoness that is tempting an unsuspecting person, but her proper demonic form isn't showcased as a reflection or through a mirror but is done by graffiti art on the pillar right next to her.

Her temptations are so powerful that she can't keep herself in check, with her claws forming as she wraps herself around her next victim.

2 Solitude

Legends of Runeterra: Forces Beyond Solitude Artwork by Kudos Production

These demons wearing human skin have found many ways to tempt people's hearts, even by pretending to be hurt. This artwork shows how temptation comes in many forms, such as how this demonic creature can infiltrate the softness within human kindness to get its hands on its next prey.

It's all wonderfully shown by the purple tendrils wrapping around the woman's arms, plus her reflection portraying her proper demonic form through the puddle of water in front of her. However, the worried look on the tiny creature there is like a warning to the woman trying to act out of kindness, as the animal is aware that something is amiss but can't figure out why.

1 Evolved Evelynn

Legends of Runeterra: Forces Beyond Evolved Evelynn Artwork by Kudos Production

This version of Evelynn is terrifying. Showcasing her true nature with a wicked and jagged smile while also showing us that she's a force to be reckoned with by the multitude of corrupt servants surrounding her as she looks towards you with eyes glowing sends a chill down your spine.

Also, the contrasting nature of black and bright violet not only makes us focus on Evelynn, but it gives us this sinister aspect to the entire artwork, making us gulp in horror at her.
