The South Lanayru Sky Crystal is a Shrine Quest in the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This shrine is reached by unlocking Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower in the eastern section of the map. In a rare exception, this sky crystal quest is one of the few that doesn't unlock a Rauru's Blessing shrine.

Instead, the shrine this quest unlocks is a typical puzzle-based shrine. Completing the South Lanayru Sky Crystal grants access to Mayanas Shrine, which will have you scratching your head for the longest time. If you want to know the solution to the shrine, this guide covers how to get through it and grab the treasure at the end.

Launch from the tower and fly northeast towards the sky islands closest to you. As you approach the first island, you'll see a pre-assembled flying machine and some soldier constructs.

Attach a Zonai rocket to the movable cube with the soldier on it and bring your flying machine onto the block. Launch the cube using the rocket to get some height and then fly your machine to the next island.

Swap out your used flying machine for another pre-made one on this next island and continue going east.

The next island along is where you'll find Mayanas Shrine. Interact with it to bring the quest.

The shrine's exact coordinates are 4611, -0944, 1789.

Finding The Crystal

Turn away from the shrine and go to the central platform of the island you're on. Rotate the mechanism so that the launcher is facing towards the island where the green crystal light is going.

Step onto the launcher, and you'll get flung across the islands. Use Ascend on the slim floating platforms above you, and to your left, you will see a construct soldier on a movable cube.

Glide over to the cube and kill the soldier. Attach one of the rockets on here to the cube and use it to move the block into the large main floating rock where the green crystal light is pointing towards. When under the main piece of land, use Ascend.

You should appear in front of some breakable vines. Smash through them and then cut through another section of vines to find the crystal.

Grab the crystal and use the Zonai devices nearby to create a flying machine using fans and the wing device.

As you fly, aim for the central circular platform since it's an easier landing spot.

With the shrine unlocked, you'll now have to complete the puzzle inside Mayanas Shrine to claim your Light of Blessing.

When you enter and approach the first room, you'll see a pool surrounded by platforms and ice fruit. Grab an ice fruit and throw it into the pond to make a slab of ice.

Using Ultrahand, move the ice out of the water and slide it down the ramp next to you. Time it so that the ice platform will hit the large target at the bottom of the ramp.

If you activate the ice-emitter Zonai device and throw it into the water, it will constantly create ice platforms.

As the target begins moving to the left, drop the ice platform on the leftmost side of the ramp.

When you finish that puzzle, you can exit the shrine and claim your reward. There is one more puzzle to do before you go, and the reward is a Mighty Zonaite Shield.

If you think that's worth it, the solution to unlock the door and grab the chest is as follows:

Create several ice platforms using the ice fruit or the ice emitter Zonai devices.

Attach them to form a long bridge of platforms. You will need around eight or nine in total.

The platform needs to be long enough so that it can reach the target and complete the puzzle.

Simply take your long bridge to the edge of the platform and drop it from above so that it hits the target.

This unlocks the door and the treasure chest, fully completing the shrine. With that done, approach the rune and claim your Light of Blessing.
