Twitch can be a pretty cutthroat business at the best of times, with multiple massive personalities competing for records, viewers, and subscriber numbers. It's a very competitive place, with hundreds of streamers competing with each other, but the record for the platform's most subscribed streamer was just completely shattered by Ironmouse, overtaking KaiCenat's previous record.

Before today, KaiCenat's record was a whopping 306,521 subscribers, which was set in March 2023 following a subathon that lasted the entire of February. At the time of writing, Ironmouse now has a subscriber count of 313,000, a completely mind-boggling number that is still going up at the time of writing. You can check the moment in which Ironmouse beat the record below.

Ironmouse Has Broken Kai Cenat's Twitch Subscriber Record

Given the wholesome vibes that Ironmouse gives off, it's unsurprising to see that congratulations have been pouring out on social media ever since she broke the record, from both fans and previous record holders. For example, popular streamer Ludwig congratulated Ironmouse on passing his old record, wishing her well and to go and smash the all-time record. Well, she definitely did that.

It's also worth pointing out that Ironmouse passed Ludwig's previous record of 283,066 subscribers four hours ago, meaning she's gained tens of thousands of subscribers in mere hours.

Twitch itself also acknowledged the achievement, congratulating Ironmouse on breaking the record, and Ironmouse herself posted a thank you on Twitter before hitting the hay. In the tweet, she thanks her fans for "changing my life", and calls her community the "best in the universe."

I'd love to be able to give you a final total right now for Ironmouse's sub count, but that's actually impossible at the moment. Somehow, the streamer's subathon is going for another week, during which she'll be getting even more subscribers. A lot of people are also reporting that Ironmouse's sub count is also delayed quite a bit, so we could be here a while.

Ironmouse's plan will be to get the highest sub count possible, so the record can stay there as long as possible. She's also giving half of the proceeds she makes from this subathon to the Immune Deficiency Foundation, so more subs means more cash for a good cause. Kai Cenat will almost definitely make a charge for the record once again, though whether he'll actually be able to beat the whopping number that Ironmouse sets, we'll have to wait and see.
