One of the core mechanics in Honkai: Star Rail is its use of Skill Points, a resource needed to use Skills and determines the flow of battle. Using a Skill will typically consume one Skill Point, while using a Basic Attack will recover it, and knowing how to manage your Skill Points is a key aspect of the game.

Harmony is one of the strongest paths in Honkai: Star Rail, but the characters with this path also have their own ranking in the meta.
PostsSparkle is a five-star Quantum-Type character from the Path of The Harmony. In battle, she’s a broken support that allows you to completely ignore Skill Point management while also providing Action Advance effects and huge DMG buffs in the form of CRIT DMG and DMG Bonus.
7 She Increases The Maximum Number Of Skill Points
By default, Skill Points are capped when you have five of them, and using a Basic Attack when you already have five Skill Points won’t do anything. However, Sparkle’s Talent, Red Herring, raises the maximum number of Skill Points that can be stored to seven.
This Passive allows you to straight up alter the mechanics of the game. By adjusting your characters’ Speed stats, you can effectively use your non-Skill-Point-hungry support characters to generate Skill Points while still allowing your other characters to consume Skill Points as they please.
6 You Get More DMG By Consuming More Skill Points Per Turn
Aside from raising the maximum number of Skill Points, Sparkle’s Talent will also increase your characters’ DMG by three to 6.6 percent whenever they consume one Skill Point. This effect can last for two turns and can stack up to three times.

If you're suffering from a lack of Skill Points in your battle, Sparkle is the perfect character to get in Honkai: Star Rail.
PostsWith this effect, the more times your characters can consume Skill Points, the more DMG they’ll receive from Sparkle’s Talent. Characters who can consume multiple Skill Points in a single turn are especially great for taking advantage of this, such as Dan Heng: Imbibitor Lunae and Qingque, as well as Seele with her Resurgence mechanic.
5 She Enables More Skill Point-Hungry Teams
After using Sparkle’s Ultimate, The Hero with a Thousand Faces, she immediately recovers four Skill Points. This allows you to completely bypass the game’s Skill Point economy and use Skill Points freely, especially for characters whose kits require them to use their Skills every turn.
Her Ultimate will also grant a buff to your characters, which increases the DMG Boost provided by her Talent, with each stack increasing its effect by six to 10.8 percent for two turns.
With her Ultimate, Sparkle lets you form team compositions that otherwise would never have worked prior to her release because of the need to manage your Skill Point usage. Whether you’re running on zero Skill Points or your supports’ abilities are about to expire at the same time, cast Sparkle’s Ultimate to continue eating Skill Points like there’s no tomorrow.
4 Spam Her Skill To Buff Your Carry And Manipulate The Action Order
Sparkle’s Skill, Dreamdiver, increases the CRIT DMG of a target ally by 27 to 48.6 percent, plus 12 to 26.4 percent of Sparkle’s own CRIT DMG, lasting for one turn. Additionally, the target ally’s action will be Advanced Forward by 50 percent.
Using this Skill on Sparkle herself will not trigger the Action Advance effect.

Here's everything you need to upgrade the five-star Quantum unit called Sparkle in Honkai: Star Rail!
PostsThis makes her play similarly to Bronya, who wants to use her Skill every turn. The DMG buff only lasts for one turn and also triggers Action Advance for the target ally. Spamming her Skill will also grant her more Energy, which allows you to use her Ultimate more often, thus generating more Skill Points.
Build Sparkle with high CRIT DMG to increase the CRIT DMG Boost that her Skill provides.
3 She’s Great For Follow-Up Attack Characters
After unlocking her second Major Trace, Artificial Flower, the CRIT DMG Boost provided by her Skill will not disappear until the target ally starts their turn again. Unlike Bronya, whose DMG buff disappears immediately after the target ally ends their turn, Sparkle’s buff will remain on the target ally even after their turn ends.
This means characters’ follow-up attacks can still benefit from her CRIT DMG buff as they will still have the effect of her Skill until the start of their new turn. Pairing her with these characters will allow you to take advantage of this Trace effect:
- Clara
- Yanqing
- Himeko
- Herta
- Jingyuan
- Topaz
- Xueyi
- Dr. Ratio
2 Her Technique Is Useful For Avoiding Enemies
Every character has a Technique that you can use in the overworld, Simulated Universe, and the Forgotten Hall. Using Sparkle’s Technique, Unreliable Narrator, will grant allies the Misdirect state for 20 seconds. While Misdirect is active:
- Enemies will not be able to detect your active character.
- Entering battle will immediately recover three Skill Points for the team.
Honkai Star Rail: Best Team Members For Sparkle
If you want to get the most value from Sparkle in Honkai: Star Rail, you'll have to use the characters that benefit from her the most.
PostsThis Technique is extremely useful when exploring, doing quests, or seeking objectives and not wanting to deal with enemies that are lying around in the area. Additionally, it provides free Skill points that allow you to use all your characters’ Skills at the start of the fight.
1 She Becomes Stronger With More Quantum Teammates
After unlocking her third Major Trace, Nocturne, all allies’ ATK will be increased by 15 percent. Additionally, when there are one/two/three Quantum allies in your team, the ATK of Quantum allies will be increased by an additional five/15/30 percent.
With the release of Silver Wolf, Mono-Quantum teams have been very effective in clearing content, as it allows Silver Wolf to permanently implant Quantum Weakness to enemies. However, even without her, forming a team with up to three Quantum characters (including Sparkle herself) allows you to enjoy a permanent ATK buff that can reach up to 45 percent.
