Hades 2 is now officially in Early Access, and there's so much new content already that makes the game feel like a complete and expanded sequel. Part of that is the fantastic cast of characters Hades 2 offers, featuring some familiar favorites from the first game, while also making way for some new mythological deities and epic heroes to shine.

1 Melinoe

Judy Alice Lee

With a new Hades game, comes a new protagonist. Here you'll be playing the even more compelling magick-wielding younger sister of Zagreus, Melinoe. She's a chthonic nymph training under Hecate to defeat Chronos, and the voice actress behind the stellar new addition to the Hades family is Judy Alice Lee.

Judy Alice Lee is also the voice of Meilee 'Fanny' Fan in WWE 2K22 and 2K24, Clementine in Remnant 2, Yunifi in Unicorn Overlord, Neyrelle in Diablo 4, Nimbus in Exoprimal, and Rinko in Ghostwire: Tokyo. Melinoe is by far her most outstanding role yet!

2 Hecate

Amelia Tyler

Just one listen to Hecate in her character introduction, and you'll think you're back in Baldur's Gate 3 getting an action or dialogue narrated to you. That's because Amelia Tyler once again graces the gaming world with her role as Hecate, the Greek Goddess of witchcraft, Crossroads, and sorcery.

Hades 2: How To Beat Hecate

The Guardian of Erebus is Hades 2's first hurdle.

Aside from being known as the Dungeon Master/game narrator for Baldur's Gate 3, Amelia Tyler was also Malady in Divinity: Original Sin 2 and Nyrissa in Pathfinder: Kingmaker. In the horror game genre, Tyler voiced Laila and Belial in The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR, Eva Ritter and Atharu in Amnesia: Rebirth, The Unknown in Metal: Hellsinger, and various characters in We Happy Few.

3 Homer, Chronos, Poseidon, Hades, Charon, And Polyphemous

Logan Cunningham

Gripping players with his powerful narration and storytelling since 2011's Bastion, the OG narrator for Supergiant Games returns in Hades 2. Logan Cunningham will play the author of the Iliad and Odyssey, Homer, who narrates key locations and story events, while also getting to play the central antagonist Chronos, as well as reprising Poseidon, Hades, and Charon, and playing the new cyclops boss Polyphemus.

You'll mainly recognize Logan Cunnigham for his unforgettable booming voice narrating Supergiant Games like Bastion, Transistor, Pyre, and Hades. Although, if you've played the point-and-click adventures Primordia and Resonance, Cunningham voices Horatio Nullbuilt in the former and Winston Bennet in the latter.

4 Dora

Erin Yvette

Dora is the coolest Underworld Shade around, and a really fun spirit to talk to in Melinoe's room after a run. If you've played Oxenfree, her personality and voice will match exactly that of the first game's protagonist, Alex. Erin Yvette brings back the tone and teen spirit of her Oxenfree role into this literal spirit.

Aside from working with indie studios Supergiant Games and Night School Studio, Yvette's voicework also includes Telltale Games roles such as Snow White in The Wolf Among Us, Bonnie and Molly in The Walking Dead, Sasha in Tales from the Borderlands, and Vicki Vale in Batman. Ayre in Armored Core 6, Alice in Street Fighter 6, and Esther in FF7 Rebirth are some notable triple-A characters of Yvette's.

5 Odysseus

Jason Marnocha

Also there with you for the ride in the main hub of the Crossroads in Hades 2 is Odysseus, the Greek hero from The Odyssey, who is helping Melinoe alongside Hecate in the fight against Chronos, being the Trojan War 'Veteran Tactitician' he is. Getting to voice this more charismatic underworld version of the famous mortal in Greek mythology is Jason Marnocha.

Jason Marnocha is yet another cast member who's been in Unicorn Overlord, where he's the English dub for Bryce. He's also Captain Dunn in Honkai: Star Rail, Mugen in Octopath Traveler 2, various bosses in V Rising, and Male Avatar 7 in Street Fighter 6. If you've seen Vinland Saga, Marnocha is the voice of characters Eadric and Olaf.

6 Nemesis

Becca Q. Co

The most bitter and pessimistic Goddess in Greek mythology to be present in the Crossroads is Nemesis, who loves to see Melinoe (aka you) repeatedly fail and never lets her feelings go unspoken. Nemesis has a standout personality that's portrayed by actress Becca Q. Co.

She's not super well-known in games yet but is building up quite a resume already. Some of her other projects include Gwen in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Mirai in Midautumn, and Miss Velvet and Sanguine Rose in Seven Knights 2. Becca Q. Co also has credits as the English Dub for characters in the Netflix series Money Heist Korea - Joint Economic Area and Celebrity.

7 Schelemeus

Darren Korb

Skelly, the training dummy of the underworld, comes back with a new character design to fill the same role in Hades 2 as a combat trainer and tutorial expert for Melinoe in the Crossroads. He is now 'Training Master' Schelemeus (a thematically clever and appropriate name for a skeleton), and is reprised by voice actor Darren Korb, who was also protagonist Zagreus in the original Hades.

Schelemeus' voice is by far the most distinct with a terrific and believable New York accent, and he can quickly become your favorite character to interact with. Even more impressive is that Darren Korb is a Supergiant Games dev, specializing as the studio's audio director, as well as the composer of all its games, including, of course, Hades 2!

8 Artemis

Jamie Landrum

Throughout your runs, Artemis, the Goddess of the hunt, will join Melinoe in combat during certain sections, and her aid is much welcome. She considers Melinoe to be like a sister and will also grant her some Boons just like she did her brother Zagreus in the previous game.

This archer Goddess is reprised by actress Jamie Landrum from the first game, who also voiced Nyx. Landrum is mainly known for voicing characters in Supergiant games, the other being Shae in 2017's Pyre. However, she also comes from a background in theater, being a cast member in productions such as The Count of Monte Cristo and The Last Ship from the Utah-based Pioneer Theatre Company.

9 Moros

Sterling Sulieman

Usually, you would see 'doom and gloom' as an atmosphere and theme prevalent in survival horror games (and a bit of the mood in Hades 2), so, of course, Moros is exactly that personified in Greek mythology and makes a debut in the sequel. You'll eventually invite this 'Doom Incarnate' into the Crossroads, where he will be stationed by the Fated List of Minor Prophecies, a most significant post.

Moros is voiced by actor Sterling Sulieman, who was also Matthis in Fire Emblem Heroes, Tyrell Patrick in Resident Evil 3 Remake, Louis in Telltale's The Walking Dead: The Final Season, and Nirik and Arorro in Horizon Forbidden West. Some of Sulieman's TV roles include Grant in Station 19, Prince Escalus in Still Star-Crossed, and Nate St. Germain in Pretty Little Liars.

10 Arachne

Shelby Heather

Along your journey as Melinoe in Hades 2, there will also be a certain silk-weaving spider who has some special gifts for you. Her name is Arachne, and she'll be providing you with a variety of outfits that have armor benefits in combat. This spider fashionista is voiced by Shelby Heather.

Heather is relatively new to voice acting, appearing only in a minor voice credit for Octopath Traveler 2, with Arachne being her breakout role. And what a memorable role it is; a friendly, lovable spider character who will undoubtedly help you overcome your arachnophobia.
