Hades 2 players have been enjoying the Olympic Update, which, if you hadn't guessed it, adds Olympus as a new region to the game. Along with that, Melinoe will be able to find two more familiars and a new weapon, Xinth, The Black Coat.

Playing Hades 2 In Early Access Has Made Me Actually Want To Get Good

For the first time, I’m ignoring God Mode in favour of developing my Hades 2 chops.

However, fans of the series have really been missing one aspect from the previous game, and that is the God of War. No, not Kratos. The original one, Ares. Whether it's for his powerful boons, or for his rugged good looks, fans really wanted to see him in the latest update.

Ares! My Life Is Yours

The latest update has been received well by Hades 2 fans. Among other things, it gives Melinoe a jetpack with missile capabilities, so there's no wondering why they like it. However, for all its offerings, players want to see Ares return. The series has been a thirst trap right from the first time Zag stepped out of the pool of blood, but fans have become a bit too thirsty now.

Perhaps it was the boons he bestowed, or his dashing side buzz, or those pronounced collar bones, or that perfectly angled jaw, or his deep gaze, or… sorry.

Supergiant has previously said that all the major gods of the Olympian pantheon will feature in the final 1.0 launch of the game, but fans have been left a bit heartbroken as their favourite battle-loving deity didn't make the cut in this update.

Despite that, the new content has caused a stir in the community in the best way possible. Everyone loves the new region, the new weapon, and especially the two new gods that have made an appearance, Athena and Dionysius. And yes, they're thirst traps too. Even the new boss has been received well, especially thanks to what it means for the overall lore.

Athena presents you with some of the same boons that she presented to Zagreus. However, if you happen to pick Divine Dash – a fan-favourite from the first game – she will roast Mel, saying it was her brother's favourite too. The ability is quite powerful, and changes the entire flow of the game.
