God of War Ragnarok is the direct sequel to the 2018 soft reboot of the franchise. The story follows Kratos and Atreus as they attempt to navigate their way through a hostile realm filled with petty gods. Atreus is grappling with his fate, while Kratos attempts to prepare him to meet it.

Naturally, it isn't called God of War for nothing. This expansive title will see you traveling across the nine realms and engaging in a seemingly endless series of conflicts. But alongside those moments of violence are a healthy number of puzzles—some of which may leave you scratching your head. There are also a ton of things to collect, quests to engage in, and people to help. It is the exact type of game that calls for a little guidance at times.
