If you've been playing Genshin Impact since its launch, you likely already have a wide range of weapons to choose from whenever a new character gets released. However, this choice gets a lot tougher when it comes to DEF-based characters like the five-star Geo unit, Chiori.

If you're one of the few people who got Albedo when he was first released, you'll likely already have a Refinement Five and fully upgraded Harbinger of Dawn since this three-star weapon was the only decent choice for him. While this is not true for Chiori, it's still a great weapon for her if you're new to the game.
With Refinement Five, it can give you a whopping 46.9 percent Crit DMG and 28 percent Crit Rate on the maximum level, which takes away the pressure from your Artifacts. However, you'll need a ton of ATK and DEF while building her Artifacts with this weapon.
7 Wolf-Fang

One of the perks of being a low-spender in Genshin Impact is that you can buy the Battle Pass and have access to phenomenal weapons like the Wolf-Fang. Once you put it on Chiori, your DMG from the Elemental Skill and Burst will increase by 16 percent, which can go up to 32 percent at Refinement Five.
Since the regular damage done by Tamoto is considered her Elemental Skill DMG, it's also quite easy to stack the Crit Rate for it with this weapon. You can essentially get a free 16 percent Crit Rate on Chiori's Skill, which is the main source of her damage.
6 The Black Sword

From one Battle Pass weapon to the other, The The Black Sword can be another great choice for Chiori, but it's much more situational. This weapon increases her Normal and Charged Attack DMG while also regenerating her HP based on her ATK whenever she gets a Crit Hit every five seconds.

PostsIt's a great weapon if you're planning to use the Geo Infusion aspect of Chiori's kit. However, this play style isn't very viable on her unless you have the final constellation that lets you get permanent Geo Infusion. You can still use this build alongside a mono Geo team including Gorou, but it'll give you much less value than the off-field DPS build.
5 Festering Desire

If you're relatively new to Genshin Impact, you might not even know that this weapon exists since it was given as an event-exclusive item that couldn't be obtained once the respective event ended. However, if you were lucky enough to take part in the event, you get a free Refinement Five version of Festering Desire.
The weapon's main stat might not be as useful for Chiori, but the whopping 32 percent extra DMG and 12 percent Crit Rate on the Elemental Skill make it worth using. Keep in mind that you'll have to get some perfect stats on your Artifacts to make up for the lack of ATK, DEF, and Crit DMG on this weapon.
4 Cinnabar Spindle

Cinnabar Spindle is another four-star event-exclusive weapon that was released specifically to suit Albedo's play style at the time. However, with Chiori's release, it also became the best four-star sword for her. This does mean that you won't be able to use both Albedo and Chiori in the same team if you're using this weapon on her.

PostsApart from a massive 69 percent DEF Percent on the secondary stat, this weapon also gives you an increased 80 percent Elemental Skill DMG every 1.5 seconds. This CD is great for Chiori since her Tamoto only deals damage every 3.6 seconds. Even with two Tamoto on the field, you can make good use of this weapon.
3 Mistsplitter Reforged

Moving into the five-star territory, Mistsplitter Reforged can be a great weapon for your Chiori as it gives you a 44.1 percent Crit DMG and 12 percent Elemental DMG Bonus just by putting it on her. Apart from that, you can get another 28 percent Elemental DMG Bonus if you fulfill certain criteria.
One of these criteria requires you to deal Elemental DMG on your Normal Attack. There are two ways to do this: You can either use Chiori's Geo Infusion attack or perform a Cryo or Pyro-infused attack using Bennett or Chongyun with the right constellation.
2 Haran Geppaku Futsu

Chiori must've had good relations with the Kamisato siblings since both their weapons can work quite well on her. Haran Geppaku Futsu is a beautifully designed weapon that'll provide her with a massive 33.1 percent Crit Rate and the same 12 percent Elemental DMG Bonus just by using it on her.
Furthermore, it can increase your Normal Attack DMG by 20 percent if you use two other party members' Skills before using Chiori's. Unfortunately, this effect of the weapon is only good if you're using Chiori as the main DPS.
1 Uraku Misugiri

It's no surprise that the weapon that Genshin Impact's developers specifically designed for Chiori is the best in slot for her. While it might share the same secondary stat as Mistsplitter Reforged, the actual value you get at the maximum level is doubled. It also directly increases both your Normal Attack and Skill DMG.
Finally, these damage bonuses get doubled if a nearby party member deals Geo DMG while giving Chiori some additional DEF. Not only does this weapon reduce the pressure on your Artifacts by a lot, but it also makes any play style viable for her even without Constellation Six.
