PostsFreminet is a four-star Cryo, Claymore-wielding character who was released during the 4.0 patch update as one of the first few Fontaine characters. Although he is quite shy and reserved, he can be a wonderful companion to add to your team as you continue on your journey. If you want to take him with you, you better prepare to ascend him.
Freminet's Ascension Materials
Freminet needs a variety of materials, so he can ascend. The formula for his ascension follows the same general pattern as that for ascending other characters.
This formula consists of: a Regional specialty that can be foraged, normal mob drops for mobs that are usually found within the character's nation of origin, some normal World Boss drops, some stone fragments, and some Mora.
As a character closely linked to diving and the sea, Freminet's materials are found within Fontaine's inland lake. So, you will have to do a lot of diving to find everything you need.
You will find Freminet's materials on land, too. Except in a much smaller quantity.
There are six ascension levels in total, the last one being the one that lets your characters reach level 90. Each ascension phase requires more materials than the last, as well as higher rarity materials. For Freminet's max ascension you will need all the following:

A character needs a little more than just their ascension materialsto reach Level 90. Ascension raises the level cap, allowing you to make your character stronger and slightly raise their base stats. However, to actually reach higher levels, you will still have to level them up at the cost of experience books and some more Mora.

We calculated an efficient way to spend your books, so you can lose as little experience as possible while leveling up your character. Using different combinations will likely result in more wasted EXP.
To make your own combinations you should always account for the experience granted by each book:
- 1,000 EXP per Wanderer's Advice.
- 5,000 EXP per Adventurer's Experience.
- 20,000 EXP per Hero's Wit.
Additional to the experience you will need roughly 1,671,600 Mora. If you add the ascension costs to this total, the result is approximately 2,091,600 Mora to get from level one to 90.
Though leveling all characters is the same process, Mora costs have a small error margin, so it's recommended that you keep an extra 50,000 to offset these.
Freminet's Talent Materials
Your character's combat skills can be improved by talents, which increase the amount of damage they deal. Of course, not every talent is worth maxing, as the usefulness of each talent is mainly dictated by the role the character will play in your team.
Freminet's kit is designed to make him a Main DPS that is heavily reliant on his Elemental Skill to defeat enemies.
To get the most value out of him, you will want to level his second and first talents in unison. To do so, you will need to gather all the following materials:

The last level also requires a special material called Crown of Insight, which can be obtained through limited-time events, or as a level reward from special places like the Tree of Dreams in Sumeru.
The costs on this list are per talent. So, to level all three talents you would need to gather three times as many of these items. You will also need three Crowns of Insight if you want to max them all out.
Where To Get Worldspan Fern
To get Worldspan Fern you will need to travel back to the Sumeru Desert. This material can only be obtained by challenging the weekly boss domain The Realm of Beginnings, which you will unlock after playing through Sapientia Oromasdis Act 2, Nahida's second story quest.
The location of this Domain is underground between the Desert of Hadramaveth and Gavireh Lajavard.
Worldspan Fern is one of three potential drops you can claim for 30 Original Resin after successfully completing this challenge.
The only other way to obtain this material is through the Alchemy Crafting Bench, where you can transmute other random drops from the same Domain, provided you have the Dream Solvent to afford it.
