Summary

  • Epic Games has sent out a new survey to Fortnite players that asks them more gameplay-focused questions.
  • One of those questions is about whether they'd be interested in seeing the return of last year's OG season.
  • A new OG season has already been mentioned by Epic, but it being brought up now suggests it's near to release.

Epic Games has sent out an interesting Fortnite survey that asks players if they want to see last year's beloved OG mode return at some point in 2024.

Even though Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 3 has really only just begun, that hasn't stopped Epic Games from already looking to the future and seeing what they can change about the game and what they can add to it in the future. Epic regularly sends out surveys asking what players think about the state of Fortnite, which actually do seem to make an impact.

These surveys usually focus on asking players what kind of collaborations and crossovers they want to see in Fortnite (which usually provides some hints as to what's being worked on by Epic), but the most recent one that's making the rounds is instead focused on gameplay. One of the questions asked is something that's going to make a lot of players happy if it's a sign of what's to come.

Epic Is Asking Players If They Want To See The OG Mode Return

Over on Twitter, reliable Fortnite insider HYPEX shared a list of all the questions that Epic has asked players in a recent survey. Although most of the questions are fairly generic and ask about general topics (such as whether players like the Chapter 5, Season 3 Battle Pass), there is one that stands out.

Towards the top of the list, you can see that Epic has asked players if they "want OG Season back", something that almost everyone is going to give a resounding yes to. The OG mini season was a massive success when it dropped last year, and Epic has made it clear that it's interested in giving it another go at some point in 2024, although we don't know how that's going to look just yet.

The survey also asks players whether they're happy with the changes that have been made to the UI and Locker, something that also seems pretty obvious to anyone that has played Fortnite recently.

The fact that Epic is asking about it now seems to imply that it's planning some kind of OG Season return in the near future and is trying to gauge player interest in it. Considering how popular it was last time, it almost seems silly to ask if players want to see it again, but it's a good sign that something is in the works.
