Recycling your Ultimate Team duplicates in FIFA 23 can feel daunting, but it helps you to get the most out of every card you pack. While it may seem quicker to just discard your duplicates, you're losing out on some incredible value that greatly adds up over time.

Instead of simply letting your extras go to waste, the best way to build up a hefty supply of packs is by taking advantage of the available Squad Builder Challenges (SBCs). If you're just learning the basics, then we've got you covered with these tips for recycling FUT duplicates.
What Is Recycling In FUT?
Recycling refers to taking your duplicate cards and using them in an SBC to acquire another card or pack instead.
While opening packs, you will frequently receive duplicates of cards you already own.
If these cards are tradeable, then you can sell them on the FUT market if you would like.
If a duplicate is untradeable, then you must use it in an SBC if you do not want to waste it.
How To Recycle Your Duplicates
So, you got a duplicate, and it's blocking you from opening any more packs until you deal with it? No problem.
In order to recycle this duplicate, back out of the menu and select the option to deal with the items (cards) later.
Now you'll be back at your main menu and can navigate over to the available Squad Builder Challenges.
Step 1: Identify A Suitable SBC
First and foremost, you'll need to choose an SBC from the ones available that will make the best use of your duplicate without wasting other valuable resources.
If you have something cheap like a Gold Common duplicate, don't try to force it into an SBC with a high requirement as you will end up using other, valuable resources simply to avoid wasting a less valuable one.
Once you've identified an SBC, you can check the requirements to ensure you won't need more than you have to complete it.
The best SBCS to choose are usually upgrade packs as they will allow you to replenish any other cards you used along with your duplicate.
For example, recycling a Team of The Season card into an 84+ ten-player pack requires an 87-rated squad, which is fairly easy to reach.
You should be able to replenish the resources needed to craft it while also making use of a duplicate.
Step 2: Submit Your Duplicate
Once you find an SBC you like, then it's time to fill out the requirements along with your duplicate.
If you want to infinitely recycle an 84+ or 85+ ten-player pack, you should use three high-rated (90+) Team of The Season Cards, one or two 84-85-rated cards, and fill out the rest with 78-83 overall players.
If you go over the requirements, start to replace high-rated cards with lower-rated ones until your next downgrade will miss the requirement.
Doing this will allow you to ensure you're not overpaying for an SBC and are making the best use of every overall rating point.
Make sure you don't accidentally remove your duplicate from the SBC while you are making adjustments for rating.
Step 3: Claim Your Reward And Duplicate Card
Now that the duplicate has been used, you can return to your packs and click one to bring up the "Claim Items" screen.
Your duplicate will now be gone from your club, and you can claim the new card here.
Once your card is claimed you can return to opening packs at your leisure, now with more chances to get a surprisingly high-rated player given your shrewd use of redundant cards.
Experimenting with duplicates and SBCs will allow you to maximize the rewards you're getting and put you on the path to Ultimate Team glory.
