- Railroad and Brotherhood enemies during The Battle of Bunker Hill quest
You can also get the unique Gauss rifle The Last Minute by buying it from Ronnie Shaw after completing the Minutemen quest "Old Guns". This weapon functions similarly to normal Gauss rifles, but has the Legendary effect Crippling, which deals extra limb damage.
How To Get Gauss Rifle Ammo
The Gauss rifle needs special ammo, 2mm EC. These electromagnetic cartridges are mainly obtained through crafting or vendors. From level 28 and above, you can purchase 2mm EC from the following vendors.

How To Craft 2mm EC Ammo
You can also craft Gauss rifle ammo if you have the Contraptions DLC and access to an Ammunition Plant workbench. You'll also need the Rank 4 Gun Nut perk to craft 2mm EC. You can use the following materials at an Ammunition Plant.
- 3 Copper
- 2 Lead
- 1 Oil
- 2 Fertilizer
This will create 10 rounds of 2mm EC ammo.
