Gunsmith Part 3 is where things start to get a little complicated. Unless you're lucky enough to find the parts you need in-game, you will need reputation level two with a couple of traders to access them. Whether you take an enemy down to find these parts or loot them from a weapon box, here's how to complete Gunsmith Part 3.

How To Modify The MP5

To echo what was said before, this is where modding a weapon gets a little complicated for newcomers. You'll have to do a bit more than replace some attachments. But first, here's what modifications Mechanic wants to be done to an MP5:

  • Attach a 50-round mag
  • Attach a silencer
  • Attach a tactical flashlight
  • A sighting range of at least 200
  • At least 45 ergonomics
  • At most 210 total recoil
  • At most 5 kg in weight

Now, compared to the previous two tasks, this one requires more time to obtain the parts needed, and there are more steps to create the weapon Mechanic wants. So, with the instructions in mind, let's focus on how to convert an MP5 to hand it in for the task.

Once you obtain all the parts needed, this will explain why modding the MP5 for this task is more complicated. You'll have to replace the standard MP5 receiver and handguard with the new MP5SD version.
