Endless Ocean Luminous is a relaxing underwater-themed diving simulation game. It keeps things simple so you can focus on finding ocean life, capturing beautiful photographs, and collecting Light. Light isn't the only thing you can collect in the game. There are additional collectibles, one of which is called a Tag.

Tags may seem confusing at first, but they are relatively simple once you know what they are and how to use them. You may already be somewhat familiar with them if you've done parts of the Story Mode, though they don't really go into much detail. We'll clarify things here.

What Are Tags In Endless Ocean Luminous?

Tags are small pictures of items or emojis that can be used during your dives, and there are quite a few Tags available in the game. They can only be accessed during a dive though, so you'll want to remember to check which tags you have acquired during your dives.

The process of Drawing Tags is a lottery system that will select random Tags every so often whenever you meet the proper criteria. You'll see a message on your screen that will indicate Tags are being drawn whenever it happens.

If you've been marking treasures and creatures with Tags, and some of the Tags you used are selected during the Drawing Tags process, you'll receive a multiplier for your points.

This is a nice way to increase the points you earn during a dive, which in turn improves your diving rank. Improved diving rank leads to more emotes and stickers.

The quantity of Tags selected depends on how many Tag Drawings you've done during the dive. The first Tag Drawing will select only one Tag, the second will select two and so on, up to five Tags.

What Are Tags For?

Tags are a helpful tool during your dives; you can mark creatures and treasures, and see your Tag markings depicted on the minimap, as well as the main map.

Tags are especially useful during Shared Dives and Event Dives, so when you're working with others to complete a map and improve your diving rank, Tags are always appreciated.

When you use Tags to indicate special creatures or treasures, other divers on the same map will be able to see them too, so Divers can use the Tags on the map to easily find and loot marked treasure or scan any marked special creatures.

Another way to use Tags is to select one while you are diving, and if you're not currently interacting with, or targeted on, anything, the Tag will appear above your head.

This can be a fun way to interact with fellow divers during Shared Dives. If you have an organized group, you could probably even make up some games using the Tag feature if you want to hang out together during dives for a longer time.

You will start with only a few Tags at your disposal, but you'll be able to collect more as you progress through the game.

How To Use The Drawing Tags Feature

To draw Tags, you need to collect enough Light to fill up the row of circles shown in the upper left portion of your screen during dives.

If you spend a long time during dives collecting Light, you can sometimes Draw Tags multiple times depending on the length and progress of your dive.

Story mode also allows you to draw Tags in some instances, but lengthier Solo Dives will provide more opportunities for multiple Tag draws.

Make sure you have used Tags on treasure and creatures before you fill up the Light circles to make the most of the Drawing Tags feature. If a Tag is selected that you don't have, or didn't use on the map, you won't earn any bonus points.

If you want to collect all the Tags in the game, you'll want to go on plenty of Shared Dives. Swim near another diver to register them as a diving buddy and interact with items they tagged.

If you interact with a Tag you don't have yet, it should unlock the Tag for you. These Tags from other divers will have a brown background if you haven't collected the Tag yet.

How To View And Use Your Tags

You can only use Tags while diving, so first you'll need to go on a dive, and once you're there you'll see a variety of options at the lower right corner of your screen. To access your Tags, you'll want to select the option that looks like someone giving a thumbs-up.

From there you can select emotes or Tags, and you'll see two pictures to the left of the menu that will pop up on your screen. One picture looks like a diving helmet which represents emotes, and the other is a thumbs-up to represent Tags.

These pictures are connected with a yellow line to show that you can toggle between the two by pressing the button indicated.

Tags will disappear automatically when used on yourself after a few seconds, so there's no need to worry if you accidentally select a Tag. Get diving and see what Tags you can collect.
