The Road to the Knockouts (RTTK) promo is one of the best times to earn players in EA Sports FC 25, as these cards will receive upgrades throughout each team's European campaign. Whether it's the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, or Conference League, the RTTK cards will improve through January, so you likely won't need to replace them.

Santiago Gimenez is the latest Road to the Knockouts release following Nicolas Otamendi, as this Mexican striker receives a plus-six on his overall rating and is due for more if Feyenoord plays well during their campaign. Gimenez will receive a plus-one if Feyenoord wins three games, a PlayStyle Plus, Role Plus, or plus-one for Feyenoord scoring in four, and an additional Role Plus if they finish in the top two in their group.

This objective expires at reset time on October 11, 2024.

What Are The Road To The Knockouts: Santiago Gimenez Objectives?

Close

This Road to the Knockout objective challenge blends all aspects of Santiago Gimenez's career, celebrating his Mexican heritage while honoring his contributions to Feyenoord. As such, you'll need to build your team around these themes to complete the objectives.

Fortunately, you only need a maximum of four players if you have no overlap between the Eredivisie and Mexican players. However, be prepared to use some of these players to contribute goals to your side, as you cannot simply make substitutions once the game starts if you want to complete these tasks.

The following objectives can be completed in Squad Battles on a minimum of Semi-Pro difficulty, or in Rivals if you prefer to play online.

Challenge Name

Completion Requirement

On A Plate

Assist three goals with Through Balls.

Match Winner

Score ten goals using a player from Mexico.

Dutch Double

Score at least two goals in four separate matches while having at least two players from the Eredivisie in your starting 11.

Viva Mexico

Win eight matches while having a minimum of two players from Mexico in your starting 11.

Naturally, the most difficult aspect of this challenge is preparing your team to fulfill the requirements. Head to your Club tab and edit your Squad to include two Mexican and two Eredivisie players in your squad.

Your Mexican players should be forwards if possible as you need them to score goals to complete the Match Winner objective, but feel free to use Eredivisie players in any position.

How To Finish The Road To The Knockouts: Santiago Gimenez Challenge Fast

While some objectives don't require you to score or assist using the players from the required groups, this objective demands goals from your Mexican players.

As such, you'll need players with solid shooting to make this simple.

However, you can use any Eredivisie players you want and immediately substitute them, since they only need to appear in your starting 11 during wins, nothing more.

If you're struggling to find players to use from the Eredivisie or Mexico, here are some of the best players that fulfill each requirement.

The entries in bold at the top fulfill both requirements and are excellent choices since they will meet the prerequisites by using only two spots, and both players are forwards who can help you score.

  • Santiago Gimenez (Feyenoord)
  • Hirving Lozano (PSV)
  • Raul Jimenez (Fulham)
  • Maria Sanchez (San Diego Wave)
  • Hugo Sanchez (Icon)
  • Dirk Kuyt (Hero)
  • Steven Berghuis (Ajax)
  • Luuk De Jong (PSV)
  • Sem Steijn (FC Twente)

What Rewards Do You Get From The Road To The Knockouts: Santiago Gimenez Challenge?

Once you finish these objectives, you'll be rewarded with an 85-rated Santiago Gimenez Road to the Knockouts card for your troubles.

While he's far from the best striker, Gimenez can be a key part of a Mexico or Feyenoord-themed team, though you'd struggle to justify using his card otherwise.

Luckily, you also get some packs for your trouble.
