In Dragon's Dogma 2, you can get an incredibly powerful weapon called the Unmaking Arrow which is "said to kill [whatever it hits] instantly." However, once you've fired it from your bow, the game automatically saves and removes it from your inventory forever. As DD2 only has one save file, that means you don't get another shot. Miss or waste the arrow and you're out of luck.

You can try it on the final boss, use it on a rabbit, or swear you'll fire it when the time comes. And as always, that time never does, so we leave it to gather dust in our inventories because it's just too valuable to waste. However, it is designed with one enemy in mind.

You can get the Unmaking Arrow by solving the Sphinx's Riddle of Recollection. However, if you start a fight with the Sphinx before said riddle, you'll have to buy it elsewhere.

You can use it to defeat the same Sphinx who gives you it (by targeting their wings), otherwise it has four health bars. So, you can make a difficult fight much easier, or save the arrow for a rainier day. Either way, it's a pretty overpowered item worth having at hand.

The first Dragon's Dogma had a similar item called the Maker's Finger, also described as "the ultimate arrow". It could instantly kill most ernemies, including dragons, and since it was explosive, it could even take out huddled together groups.

One way you could use it in Dragon's Dogma 2 is as a very expensive and rare method of disposing of your plagued pawns. Only the one time, though. Then you're back to hurling them off cliffs and into the ocean.

If you did miss the arrow from the Sphinx trials, you can find it at Bakbattahl. The Dragonforged NPC sells it for eight Wyrmslife Crystals. It's a pricey weapon, but given just how powerful it is, that's only to be expected. Just make sure you actually use it.
