As you explore the world of Dragon's Dogma 2, your Arisen will be accompanied by your main pawn and then two additional pawns of your choice that you can summon from the Rift. But what if you want to summon a specific pawn or one belonging to a friend, family member, or co-worker?

Choosing the right vocation for your Pawn can make them a great ally.
PostsFortunately, there is a way! This guide covers how to find specific pawns in the Rift. However, be aware that Dragon's Dogma 2 does not work cross-platform, so you will not be able to find specific pawns on a platform other than the one you are playing on.
How To Find Your Friend's Pawn
Once you've interacted with a Rift Stone, examine the stone from within the Rift to bring up the menu, then choose 'Search for a Pawn'. From here, there are a few ways to search for the pawn you want.
Friends' Pawns
This is the easiest way to find your friends' pawns as it will pull up the pawn of everyone on your Friend List for your chosen platform. If you haven't already, add your friend to your Friend List either on Xbox by exchanging Gamertags, PlayStation by exchanging PSN IDs, or via Steam by exchanging usernames to be able to find their pawns with ease.
This is the best way to summon pawns as any pawns you summon from your Friend List cost 0 RC!
Once you've summoned them, don't forget to interact with them and actually hire them!
Search By Pawn ID
Alternatively, if you want to find the pawn of someone you know but they aren't on your friend list, you can search by Pawn ID.
Pawn IDs are a collection of letters and numbers, with each having a unique ID. If you know the ID of the pawn you want, you can choose to search by Pawn ID to summon them. Once summoned, interact with them in the Rift to hire them.
If you want to share your Pawn ID with friends, you can find it in the 'Status' part of the main menu, select your Pawn, go to the 'Pawn' tab, and you will find it there.
Are Pawns Cross-Platform?
No, unfortunately, pawns are not cross-platform.
For example, if you are playing on Xbox Series X|S, you cannot find your friend's pawn if they are playing on PlayStation 5 or PC.
