You Can Now Play Two Hours Of Dragon's Dogma 2 For Free

Summary
- Dragon's Dogma 2 now has a two-hour free trial on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC that ends on July 17.
- Capcom recommends using its free character creator and importing your creation before you start to make the most of your trial.
- The full game is 20 percent off so if you do enjoy the trial, you can pick it up for less.
The first few months of 2024 were packed with time-consuming games such as Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Persona 3 Reload, and Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Most of us have likely let some big games pass us by in favor of others already this year, but with the usual summer break - other than the odd release - now in full effect, there's never been a better time to look back and catch up. Especially since you can take Dragon's Dogma 2 for a spin for free for a limited time.
Capcom confirmed over the weekend that a Dragon's Dogma 2 free trial would be going live on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam (thanks, VGC). That trial is now available to download and start on all three platforms, letting you experience two hours of Dragon's Dogma 2 without spending a single penny. To make sure you don't waste a second of that free time with the RPG, Capcom recommends using its free Dragon's Dogma 2 character creator before you get started. That character can then be imported into the game so you can get started right away.

PostsIt's also recommended that you take a look at the four vocations you'll have to choose from for your Arisen and Main Pawn so, again, you can get going right away and not stop to think while the clock is ticking. Any progress you make during your two hours with the game will also be carried over to the full version should you decide to continue. Best of all for those who do love it enough after two hours, Dragon's Dogma 2 is on sale across all three platforms.

DIGITALDragon's Dogma is the long-anticipated sequel to Capcom's action RPG. Once again taking on the role of the Arisen, the game promises full customisation in how you create your character and play through your story.
Powered by Expand CollapseThe price has been dropped by 20 percent until July 18 which is also when the free trial will come to an end. Two hours might not sound like much - and considering how long you'll spend with Dragon's Dogma 2 if you like it, it's not - but it's better than rolling the dice on a $70 game without being able to try it at all. This trial will at least give you a feel for the game, and if you do like it enough to want to keep going, you'll now be dropping $55 on a game you at least know a little than $70 on one you don't know at all.
Not only does the usual summer drought on the game release calendar mean you can catch up on stuff you've missed, but the gap is usually plugged with sales so you can get those missed games for less. Steam's Summer Sale is live and runs until July 11 and among the 2024 releases included in it for less are Manor Lords, Balatro, and Palworld.
