Sparking Zero Players Report Data Reset Bug
A thread appeared on the Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero Subreddit overnight, in which one player shared they'd spent 71 hours in the game, reaching level 19, when the online menu started to glitch. After resetting their PlayStation 5, they were greeted with the Goku vs Vegeta battle. After completing it and checking their progress, "everything was reset."
Following the OP's post, other players who had experienced similar began to rally. One stated that it had appeared to their friend, while a level 20 player and a much newer player also confirmed it had happened to them.
Speaking in the thread, the OP confirmed that everything disappeared, from their characters and skins to their online ranking. However, a conflicting report later emerged, with one player sharing that a friend had their data deleted, but their online rank remained the same.
While this is arguably the biggest gripe to date from the Sparking Zero community, the title has caused some other minor frustrations. Players have said that its customization "lacks drip," and many found the game to be "way too hard," earning a response from Bandai Namco themselves, telling them it's okay to lower the difficulty. The lack of maps has also been a cause for concern amongst players, with one creating a mod that allows split-screen to be played on every stage.
TheGamer has reached out to Bandai Namco to see if they are aware of the ongoing data deletion issue.
