Once you reach the Mean Street area in Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, a big chunk of the game after is divided into chapters with this location as a common spot. As you come back here after beating a boss, you'll also be able to get different parts of certain quests, with Detective Mickey being one of them.

This quest line is given to you by the detective Horace, who you can find in the big building near the start of Mean Street. Most of these quests will take you to different areas, and they're quite easy to beat once you know what to do.

How To Solve All Detective Mickey Quests

Every Detective Mickey quest in Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed essentially consists of two steps. First, you have to find the location where the footsteps of the culprit start so that you can color them to reveal a path, and then confront the culprit at the end of the path to give you back the item, which you can then take to Horace.

The footsteps are divided into groups of four, and the subsequent group gets its boundary revealed when you paint a certain group. If you find the culprit without painting all the footsteps, they'll accept what they did but ask you for a trade if you want to get the item they stole.

These trades are usually not worth it since you can easily find the footsteps if you follow the direction of your last painted footsteps.

Mean Street

The first quest will be given to you after you return from the Mickeyjunk Mountain area. You'll find the footsteps for it as soon as you exit Horace's building. However, as you color them, the footsteps will start appearing on the cinema wall.

Simply color the footsteps on the wall and then thin the cinema building beside it to reveal a path upward.

Ostown

You'll find the footprints here leading out of Clarabelle's house, which is the first one to the left as soon as you enter. These will take you to a path between Ortensia's and Mickey's house and you'll find the culprit behind Moody's house.

Ventureland

As you head back to Ventureland for this part of the quest, you'll find the footsteps coming out of the back side of the Tiki Mask building, which is also the main shop in this area.

Bog Easy

Finally, for the last part of Detective Mickey, you'll have to parkour through the Bog Easy area to reach the lonesome hut on the other side. You'll find the footsteps here, which will lead you back to the main town.

You'll essentially get a power spark for each part of these quests, which are quite important to progress to the next areas.
