Everybody has a friend in Woody, and many of you have been clamouring to unlock Andy and Bonnie's favourite toy. Woody enters Dreamlight Valley with the Toy Story realm and takes a few steps to unlock him. It's up to you as the resident helper and ruler of the valley to bring Woody back to all his Dreamlight friends.

Once you've traveled up to the castle and paid the dreamlight fee (7,000) to unlock the Toy Story realm, there's a fair bit to do before Woody jumps out of the wishing well in the plaza and into your heart. Unlocking the cowboy is done in tandem with unlocking Buzz Lightyear, so be prepared for some sections to overlap.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is in early access and so the information in this guide is subject to change.
How To Unlock Woody's Quest
You've played through the Buzz Lightyear pathto the point of opening the window for Woody to climb back in. Once you've finished off Buzz's requests, it's time to focus on Woody, and his questline 'You're My Favourite Deputy'. Woody asks you to help rebuild Bonnie's farm display which accidentally got damaged.
Woody asks you to search the room for eight Ice Pop Sticks and five Pipe Cleaners. As with Buzz's requests, these are easy to spot as they lay out in the open on the surfaces.
Once completed, you'll need to travel back to the valley to talk to Buzz, who will give you some glue to fix Bonnie's display. While you're back home, you'll need to harvest yellow daisies from Peaceful Meadow. Dash back to Woody and hand these in.
You're almost finished in the Toy Story realm, you just need to collect five origami animals scattered throughout the room. Once you've found these and handed them in, it's time to invite Woody to the Valley.
Woody's House
Woody will happily travel back with you to Dreamlight Valley, but you first need to build his house. Well, it's not a house, it's a carousel. Find a nice spot for this, you'll need a big patch of land as it's quite big. Once placed, pay Scrooge 10,000 Star Coins, and the carousel will be built. There's just one snag... it's falling to pieces.
How To Unlock More Of Woody's Quests
As you're probably used to, more quests will unlock as you become friendlier with Woody. It's best to select mining or gardening if you want to level him up quickly. It's possible to grind this Experience (EXP) over a couple of hours, and along the way, you'll be helping collect materials to fix up Woody's carousel.
It will be repaired in three stages, with the last stage unlocking at level ten.
Woody's Friendship Rewards And Final Quest
As with every other character Woody has ten levels to work through, with each rewarding you with an item, as well as a little gold. Some of Woody's progression is tied to Buzz Lightyear, but also Scar's task of restoring Sunlit Plateau.

Woody's Final Quest - The Illumination
For Woody's final quest, you'll need to complete the restoration of the carousel. To do this, you must examine the toy chest inside the carousel, then read the Old Rulers Lost Diary Page. From here, you'll need to collect special items from other villagers to put inside a chest to craft the magic needed. You'll need:
- Tiny Troll Figure from Kristoff
- Conch shell from Moana
- Music Box from Ariel
Once you've handed these items over to Woody, he'll ask you for one last favour. You need to create a magical moment with him. This will be all that's needed to bring the carousel to its former glory. Woody would like you to build a Blanket Fort and snap a selfie with him while inside. If you don't already have the materials in storage, you'll need to gather and craft:
Item
Crafting Ingredients
40 Softwood
—
5 Cotton
—
4 Fabric
- 20 cotton
4 Rope
- 8 fiber
5 Glass
- 5 coal ore
- 25 sand
Once you have built the Blanket Fort, take a photo of you and Woody enjoying the time together, and this will unlock the final item on Woody's reward chart, the Pull String Backpack.
