The ninth set of Seasonal Challenges for Destiny 2's Season of the Wish is here, bringing six limited-time challenges that award XP and Bright Dust when completed. Five of the six challenges award a significant amount of XP this week, so now is a great time to complete your Season Pass or level the seasonal Artifact.

Land Kinetic final blows, complete a Coil run with a Platinum score, and acquire a ritual weapon ornament to complete some of this week's challenges.
PostsThis week, players will need to defeat enemies with close-range weapons, complete Crucible matches, and eliminate Champions in Nightfall activities. We will cover how to complete all six Seasonal Challenges added this week, their rewards, and provide tips on how to complete each challenge as quickly as possible.
Dragon's Defender VI
Dragon's Defender VI: Defeat targets with Pulse RIfles or Scout Rifles. Gain additional progress from Guardian final blows and final blows within Riven's Lair or The Coil.
Reward
- 12,500 XP
This challenge requires you to eliminate 125 enemies with Pulse Rifle or Scout Rifles. Guardians and PvE enemies found in Riven's Lair and Coil tilesets will grant twice as much progress. To get this done quickly, we highly recommend you use Graviton Lance in Riven's Lair. A single Riven's Lair clear shouldn't take more than a few minutes.
If you don't want to use Graviton Lance, some good alternatives include Polaris Lance, Outbreak Perfected, and weapons with Kinetic Tremors or Voltshot.

Lost In The Legend
Lost In The Legend: Complete a Lost Sector on Legend or higher.
Rewards
- 25,000 XP
- 75 Bright Dust
Legend and Master Lost Sectors are marked on your Director with a Lost Sector icon under the destination's name. Legend Lost Sectors have a -15 Power delta and various modifiers that make it slightly more difficult, notably Champions.
You don't have to clear the Lost Sector solo to finish this challenge, although you will remove your chances of earning an Exotic armor piece. Generally, these missions are balanced around cohesive subclass builds with weapons that match the Lost Sector's elemental singes. For some build recommendations, consult the following guides:
- Hunter Builds
- Titan Builds
- Warlock Builds

Overspecialized
Overspecialized: Get final blows with weapons in the Energy slot while in ritual activities. Earn bonus progress by defeating Guardians.
Rewards
- 50,000 XP
- 150 Bright Dust
While in a ritual activity, eliminate 100 enemies with weapons in the Energy slot. This is your second weapon slot, which consists of Arc, Solar, and Void weapons. Primary and Special weapons both grant progress. We recommend using add-clear Primary weapons to get this done quickly. Some good options include Sunshot, Trinity Ghoul, Graviton Lance, and most Hand Cannons.

PostsEyeing Iron
Eyeing Iron: Complete Crucible matches. Earn bonus progress in Iron Banner and for victories.
Rewards
- 25,000 XP
- 75 Bright Dust
This challenge will track your Crucible match completions from this week onward; it is not retroactive. A total of 15 Crucible matches must be completed for this challenge, although you'll gain double progress for wins and Iron Banner match completions. We recommend the latter when it's available. Otherwise, stick to rotating playlists like Momentum Control and Mayhem for some fast PvP games.

Ultimate Champion
Ultimate Champion: Defeat Champions in any Nightfall strike on Hero difficulty or higher. Earn bonus progress at higher difficulty tiers.
Rewards
- 25,000 XP
- 75 Bright Dust
Eliminate 60 Champions in Nightfalls to complete this challenge. Since Hero is the starting difficulty for Nightfalls, any NF difficulty will count for this challenge. With that said, you will get bonus progress from higher-difficulty Nightfalls. If you can handle it, consider farming Master or GM Nightfalls to get this done quickly. We only recommend this if you have a fireteam to play with. For solo players, stick to Hero difficulty.

Calibrate Close Range
Calibrate Close Range: Calibrate close-range weapons—Sidearms, Submachine Guns, Shotguns, Glaives, and Swords. Bonus progress for defeating Guardians.
Rewards
- 50.000 XP
- 150 Bright Dust
Calibrate Close Range requires 400 close-range weapon kills in any activity, although you'll receive double progress from Guardian final blows. Since PvE enemies are easier to kill and spawn in greater numbers, you're better off farming PvE activities instead. Some good locations include the Shuro Chi checkpoint in Last Wish, the opening encounter in Grasp of Avarice, and the Extraction Lost Sector in Savathun's Throne World.
As for weapon recommendations, SMGs are ideal for this challenge. They deal great damage, reload quickly, and are easy to use. Some good options include the CALUS Mini-Tool, IKELOS SMG, SUbjunctive, Riskrunner, Tarrabah, and Huckleberry.
