Roleplaying games are a lot of fun, but sometimes adding visuals to the mix can enhance the experience. That's what Dungeons & Dragons miniatures are for with countless iconic characters from throughout the RPG's history transformed into collectibles by WizKids. Hard to imagine there are still so many more waiting to join them, but there are, and almost 100 additional figures will be available to collect this summer via two entirely new collections releasing in May and July.
First up will be D&D's Icons Of The Realm: Underdark Expeditions set. Based on a D&D location so famous that it played a significant role in Baldur's Gate 3, the Underdark is where some of the RPG's most terrifying beasts are lying in wait. There are 44 of them to collect in the Underdark Expeditions set, with some of them featuring a first-ever detail for WizKids miniatures - DungeonGlo.

You can grab the seven core characters via a boxed set, or roll the dice and get four from a pool of 40 via a Booster Brick.
PostsDungeonGlo is the application of a special glow-in-the-dark paint that has been applied to certain parts of some of the figures. Perfect for anyone who dims the lights once their D&D campaign has descended into the Underdark and wants an additional layer of realism. As for some of the creatures waiting for you in this new set, Hook Horrors, Umber Hulks, and Gelatinous Cubes are among the 44 to collect.

Head Into The Underdark With Your Monster Manual
CloseFollowing in the Underdark Expeditions set's footsteps this July will be the Monster Manual Collection I. A set made up of monsters you'll find in the most up-to-date edition of D&D's Monster Manual, as the name implies, this second collection has even more miniatures to collect. 47 of them in total with Ogres, Nightmares, and the Helmed Horror waiting to be discovered within its booster boxes.
Speaking of booster boxes, there will be two ways to buy and collect these miniatures once the sets are released. Both the Underdark Expeditions and Monster Manual sets will have boosters, each of which will cost $19.99 and contain four characters - one large miniature, and three medium or small miniatures.
You won't be able to pick and choose which characters, monsters, and creatures are in each box. That is entirely up to chance and you won't know which figures you've got until you open them up.
If you really want to kick start your collection, and potentially complete large chunks of the sets right out the gate, there will also be booster bricks. The Underdark Expeditions booster brick contains eight boosters, meaning you'll get 32 miniatures, and costs $159.92. The Monster Manual's booster brick is slightly bigger with ten boosters, netting you 40 miniatures in one fell swoop for $199.90. There's no guarantee there won't be duplicate miniatures within those bricks, though.
