Semeru is the stoic captain of the guard for the Merfolk Kingdom. While he initially treats you coldly, earning the Merfolk Blessing shows him that you can be trusted. He's wary of the human world, but devoted to his work and will do what is asked of him.
He also has a pet lobster named Poseidon, whom he cares about dearly. His unwavering loyalty to his people and kingdom makes him an admirable man and a perfect partner if you can get him to open up.

Once you reach eight hearts with Semeru, you'll need to propose dating with a locket from the Blacksmith. Once you've made it official, you can reach ten hearts with him and propose marriage with a ring.
From there, you can get married and start your lives together. One day, you may even start building a family together!
