Xbox's ongoing strategy of releasing its games on PlayStation 5 appears to be paying off. In April, the top three best sellers on PS5 were all owned by Microsoft, with Oblivion Remastered taking the number one spot.

Underneath that, there's Minecraft, which is often a best seller, but also Forza Horizon 5 and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. This comes after both were ported to PS5 in April, with the latter only being an Xbox console exclusive for a few months.

Sony posted the PS5 best sellers for April in a blog post, revealing that Oblivion Remastered took the top spot in the US and Canada, and was in second place over in Europe. Over in Europe, it was only beaten by Forza Horizon 5, another Microsoft-published game.

In previous years, it's possible that Oblivion Remastered would have been exclusive to Xbox and PC. Right now, The Elder Scrolls 6 is only confirmed for Xbox and PC, so Bethesda was very much part of Xbox's efforts to boost its library of exclusives. However, with Oblivion Remastered doing this well on a rival platform, we might see The Elder Scrolls 6 come to PlayStation after all.

There have long been rumours of Starfield coming to PS5. These haven't materialised just yet, but Xbox has made it clear that no game is off the table when it comes to these ports, and given the stats we're seeing here, it definitely appears to be in Xbox's best interest to share its games.
