Coral Island is a game that revolves around owning a farm and growing crops, but it wouldn't be complete without the option to have a few animals to tend to. From cute little baby cows to llamas, the possibilities are endless when it comes to livestock.

How To Get Farm Buildings For Animals
Before you can have any farm animals, you must first build them a place to live. You'll need to gather the required materials and gold, then visit Dinda the Carpenter to purchase the farm buildings you want.
Building
Materials
Price
Coop Level 1
- 100 Wood
- 50 Stone
- 5 Bronze Bars
- 10 Fiber
2,000g
Barn Level 1
- 200 Wood

- 5 Bronze Bar
- 10 Fiber
3,000g
Stable
- 50 Scrap
- 200 Stone
- 5 Silver Bars
15,000g
Each building will take two game days to complete, and then you can buy your animals.
While you're working on getting your farm buildings, we highly recommend building a silo as soon as you can. It can store up to 300 hay and connects directly to your coop and barn through a hopper. To build one you'll need 20 Scrap, 300 Stone, two Resin, and 2,500 gold.
As you begin collecting animals, leveling up in your Ranching skill, and increasing the town's rank, soon it'll be time to upgrade your farm buildings so you can buy more animals.
To upgrade your barn or coop, go to the Carpenter again and select Edit Farm Buildings. Choose which one you want to upgrade, then select the upgrade option. Once you have the required materials, purchase the upgrade, and in two game days, you'll have your upgraded building.
Here's what you'll need to upgrade your barn and coop:

How To Get Animals
Once you have a coop, barn, or stable ready, head to Jack at the Ranch to purchase the animals you want.
At the beginning of the game, you'll only be able to buy three animals, provided you have the necessary housing for them:

How To Care For Animals
Once the animals are on your farm, you will need to feed them daily and pet them to keep them happy.
The happier the animal is, the more likely it will produce larger and better quality products.
You can get hay by cutting grass with your scythe, but you can also buy hay from Jack at the Ranch, along with a few other things that will help with taking care of your animals:

PostsHow To Make Money With Farm Animals
All animals (except the horse) produce items that you can sell for some gold. Additionally, you can use them to craft artisan items like Mayonnaise or Butter, for even more income.
Equipment you'll need to make some of the artisan items from animal products:
- Mayonnaise Machine
- Cheese Press
- Mason Jar (Butter and Salted Eggs)
- Loom
- Oil Press
To get higher quality products from your farm animals, talk to Ling at the Lab about upgrading your hay. Higher quality animal produce will also give you higher quality artisan items.
