Content Warning's ragdoll physics and lovable character customizations make surviving a little less scary, but the humor of the game can only take you so far. You'll have to have a game plan, a good camera, and an even better diving crew to watch each other's backs when you're in the darkness. Oh, and a winning personality. You've got to go viral, after all!

8 Conserve Your Film

This is perhaps one of the most important tips to remember, especially when you're tempted to go full YouTuber with a quirky intro and outro. The space on your camera will deplete percent by percent each second you use your camera, so you must record what you need to and focus the rest of your efforts on navigation; you can always buy more film, but you might not have that option on your last day to get enough views, so it's better to be safe than sorry.

What you record entirely depends on what is doing well with your Spooktube audience; it could be your "soothing voices" or just the terrifying atmosphere of the underground, but your audience's interest is what matters. When it comes to engaging content and surviving the horrors within a strange world, less can indeed be more!

7 Distribute And Designate

This will probably happen naturally, but spreading out who has what can help when it's time to run away. Later in your playthrough, you might find things like defibrillators and boom mics lying around the Old World, so making each item a group member's responsibility can help you balance your recording quality and team consciousness.

It can even help to have multiple defibrillators since those are your key to reviving your teammates, and your run will be far more efficient if you're diving like a professional camera crew, especially when you start to pick up more tools. Maybe they're from less successful Spooktubers? Who knows, but it's your time to shine now! You'll be more of a star than the piles of bones in the Old World, that's for sure.

6 Throw Things

This might seem like a chaotic bit of advice, and you'd be right! Some enemies, like the Slurper, will trap you in place, and you've only got so much time before they make you their dinner. This is where your friends come in; their job is to chuck something (anything, really) at the monster to get it to release you.

It'll incapacitate the monster and give you enough time to recover before something else comes along, so make sure to use those seconds wisely to avoid being incapacitated again. You'll have to think fast and yell for your friends faster in most of these chilling encounters, and the Slurper is no exception; sometimes a monster can just pick you straight off the ground, so it's best to go into the Old World aware of what could happen, and what can help.

5 Follow That Plan!

Your urge to explore every inch of the game could get you into a sticky situation (sometimes literally) that can be hard to get out of, especially on your last day to get views. When you're down to the wire on time, the best plan is a pre-arranged one.

In your house, there's a simple board with instructions (and cute little doodles!) that lets you know what you can do when you go diving. Those same objectives also show up in the top left corner of your screen when you leave the house, so it's easy to remember if you want to have a little fun with the recording! As long as you're not in immediate or even impending danger (but that's part of the fun!).

4 Teamwork Makes The Dream Work

Multiplayer games sometimes have an element of competition to them, but not Content Warning! You'll become even better friends after surviving the Old World and filming together, especially if everyone's doing their part. If you're an organized group, your jobs are important, but if you prefer to charge in, watching each other's backs is far more important.

Behind every successful video, there's (most likely) an even more successful team. You work under duress sometimes when you're in the Old World's winding halls, and even a simpleflashlight is enough to fix that; Be the best team Spooktube has to offer, especially when it comes to the macabre and the unconventional!

3 You Aren't Safe

The Old World is pretty much the most treacherous place out there, but if you survive for the majority of the day, you might find yourself in pockets of downtime that seem almost peaceful. Just like saying the word 'quiet' in a hospital, though, this downtime can sour fairly quickly, but you don't have to have the quickest reaction time ever, just keep your head on a swivel.

Monsters spawn randomly, and while you have time in between spawns to film transitions and the like, you can find yourself face-to-face with any of the mobile monsters even in the open air in front of your ship. Even the Iron Maiden, which can and will launch itself across the room to entrap you, especially if you film it for too long; most monsters will attack if you're filming them without moving away, but it can be especially startling if you aren't filming them or aware of them at all.

2 Save Those Clips

You might have seen this option after your video finishes uploading, but when you play your recorded video, there's an option on the far left that lets you download the video to your computer! It's a great way to make memories and makes the game seem all the more real, so if you're a fan of found footage horror, this game has you in mind, and you can feel like you're filming your own found footage video with this feature!

You don't save the comments with the video, but those are more for your playthrough than for the memories, anyway. You can use some of the things the comments will say as guidance for what you film next! Interpret them how you want, and experiment with different success methods, but no matter what you do, keep filming the spooky things!

1 Amp Up The Silly

It can be hard to figure out what will get you the most views, but as you might think, one of the most helpful things you can do to farm likes is tune into your senses of humor and play for the laughs on camera. You can even record knock-knock jokes and your audience will most likely receive them well if you've been successful for long enough.

You've got a limited amount of time to film, especially if you haven't bought extra film yet, but even something as simple as hugging your friends can increase your views per video. Hugging also heals your friends, so make sure to give hugs every day if your friends need them!
