Content Warning: How To Play With More Than Four People

Want to play Content Warning with more than 4 players but don’t know how? Well, here is a guide that explains it all!

If you're unsure where to start, it can be difficult to know what's possible. You can film your video any way you want, but there's only so much you can do on your own! That's where teamwork and the best plan you can come up with comes in. You're set on a path to success with these tips, no doubt about it.

10 Drop The Camera

You might have to let go of the almighty camera to save it. Sometimes, monsters will attack so viciously that they can kill you fairly quickly, so you need to save your items if you can't save yourself. Throw it to your friends, or drop it in the closest direction to the ship if no friends are available. If you manage to escape, great! If you don't, at least you have a contingency plan.

If you're stranded by yourself, you can still drop the camera. Just make sure to take note of your surroundings so you can find the camera the next day and recover your footage. If you're on the final day, though, losing the camera can be detrimental, since the map resets after the three-day period and so do any items strewn about on the map.

9 Utilize Selfie Mode

This feature of the film camera lets you film yourself as you're exploring the Old World. Don't worry, you can still see in front of you. Just like the outward-facing camera, you can still see incoming danger from around the camera while in selfie mode. The viewers love to see your face, especially when there's a risk of being attacked.

You might have to film your quick getaway, and while it can be tempting to just stop recording and run, sometimes a high-speed chase will get you hundreds or thousands of bonus views. That's especially true if you film the monster doing the chasing.

You can enter Selfie Mode by pressing [R] on your keyboard.

8 Use All Healing Methods

It's a well-known fact that a defibrillator can revive your friends and heal them if they're just down, but that's not the only item that can heal your friends in a pinch. In the store on the surface, there is plenty of equipment you can purchase, but one of them is more directly interactive: a hug! Just like in life, hugging can heal your friend. In-game hugs are much more physical with their healing power, though.

Defibrillator

$300

The Hugger

$100

The Hugger is also far cheaper than the defibrillator, which makes it handy in the early game stage. You have to recharge each of your power-driven tools, especially the defibrillator, but it takes a while for the battery to be drained. You can always count on a hug at the end of a long day, or even in the middle.

7 Stop Recording Before You Die

It can get you a lot of extra views if you film your death, but you can also lose a lot in the process. Your camera doesn't automatically stop recording when you drop it, or even when you die holding it, so your film percentage will continue to go down until someone stops the recording.

You're able to stop recording while caught in a monster's grasp, or if you get critically injured by, say, the knife-wielding ghost that appears quite often. It can always be avoided, but it's nice to have that backup plan just in case you can't get away with the camera intact.

6 Lure Monsters Away

If you're not the designated cameraperson, you can still ensure the safety of that precious film. Oh, and your friend attached to the camera, of course. There are some monsters that will go for the person making the most noise, and some that will just go straight for the first person to volunteer.

You can lure monsters away and distract them while your friend makes their getaway. You've got a higher chance of survival when in a group, since monsters will go for one person at a time. The stationary monsters, like the Iron Maiden and the Slurper, take much longer to go for another victim. Make sure you record that rescue!

5 Your Spawn Will Be Random

Each time you dive back into the Old World, you'll notice there are a total of two maps with varying spawn locations for your ship. You might be in a completely harmless spot on the map (at least for the time being), but you could also be in peril if you've gotten past the first two view quotas. The game gets noticeably harder past this point, and if you've adopted a strategy of running first and asking questions later, you'll have a bad time.

There are some monsters that have a higher spawn rate after those safety net quotas, especially those monsters that like to lurk around corners. Or in the walls. Either way, you're going to need to take your time when you first land, or you might have to watch your team from the afterlife.

4 Sacrifices Are OK

It's expected from a horror game, right? Not only is trolling funny for you, but your audience will eat it up every time. You can film your friends' bodies to increase your view count in a hurry, and you can film your escape while a friend dies in the background, too. It's a little morbid, but hey, survival of the fittest, right?

The important part of both of these tactics is the in-game voice feature. Screaming, laughter, and everything in-between gets picked up in-game, so when you leave your friends at the mercy of the creatures of the deep, at least your viewers can hear their screams.

3 Film The Bones

The factory map has far more skulls and spines strewn about, but they can be easily overlooked when you're looking for monsters. If you watch the comments whenever you post a video, you'll most likely see them talking about any bones you catch on camera by accident or intentionally.

Like most things you film, if the comments are talking about it, that's your clue to what they'd like to see more of. In this case, being tactical in how or when you film those randomly thrown-out bones can help you get those views in.

2 Watch Your Oxygen

While your oxygen level doesn't deplete as fast as your camera storage, together, the two bars can pose a problem for your time management when you're out in the field. You can find your oxygen level on the very bottom left of your screen, and your friends can also see it at any time on the tank you have on your back.

When your oxygen level runs out, you don't have time to run back to the ship before you expire. The second the level runs out, albeit slowly, you'll die, so be sure to watch that percentage.

1 Climb Everything

There are generators and other objects in each map that have texture to them, and you can jump against them to climb the sides. This might seem like a fun obstacle course at first, but for those monsters confined to the ground, this is an elite escape tactic.

If a monster is approaching faster than you can record it, you might want to jump up against the nearest crosshatched container or even a gnarly machine skeleton to escape and get the perfect shot all in one. A little chaos and panic is perfect after the initial shot, of course.
