Whenever you start playing a multiplayer game like Concord where you have a wide variety of characters to choose from, the first thing you'd want to do is learn all their abilities. This is highly important because even if you're not playing the character, you'd want to know what you're going up against if they're in the enemy team.

However, as you'd expect from any game with multiple units, some of them will always be stronger than others. While Concord has a decent balance among different Freegunners, here are the best ones you'd want to keep in mind.

Basis Of This Freegunner Tier List

Much like you'd expect, this tier list is divided into the following tiers of Freegunners: S+, S, A, and B. Here's what these tiers represent:

S+

This tier involves characters that can give you a huge advantage in Concord regardless of the mode you're playing. Their overall kit and the utility they can bring to the battlefield can lead you to some easy victories.

S

These units are a little lower than the S+ tier Freegunners when it comes to their overall value, but they're still one of the most commonly played because of how easily they can turn the tides in battle.

A

This tier includes Freegunners who can't absolutely destroy everything in every scenario. However, if played well, these characters can cause quite a lot of damage to the enemy team.

B

Finally, the B-tier consists of a few Freegunners that fall behind in the current meta either due to the lack of utility or requiring too many things to align for them to get value.

Regardless of the placement of a certain Freegunner in this tier list, you can still use them and win your battles if you have general knowledge of the game.

Concord has balanced its characters well enough to the point where no character is bad enough to be unusable.

Some of these characters also have variants that make a slight difference in their kit but can change a lot during the battle. These variants and their usefulness are also covered in their respective entries.

S+ Tier Freegunners

Freegunner Name

Crew Bonus

Reason

Lennox

Longer weapon range

Lennox by far feels like one of the best Freegunners in Concord since he can deal a lot of quick damage to the enemy units before escaping. The best part about this character is that he can also heal himself.

While Lennox does have two variants, you're better off using the original version since the second variant only increases his bullet count by one.

Lark

Faster reload speed

Lark is one of the most impactful characters, and also the most difficult to go against. Apart from being able to teleport himself away, this character can place multiple spores all around the area.

These spores can either be used to give useful boosts to your team or discourage enemies from going into a certain part of the map.

Haymar

Longer weapon range

This character has one of the highest single bullet damage, with the ability to even one-shot some Freegunners with a charged shot. Her bullets are also easy to hit while she can also burn and blind enemies.

S Tier Freegunners

Freegunner Name

Crew Bonus

Reason

Emari

Increased healing speed

Emari is one of the tank units in Concord, which means she takes a lot less damage from enemies while also being able to spray them down easily if they stay in your line of sight for too long.

Bazz

Improved mobility

Once you get used to Bazz's movement, you can make it quite difficult for the enemies to hit you while you consistently shred them with your knives. However, it's important to learn her vulnerability's trajectory to use her properly.

Teo

Improved weapon recoil

Teo is the most basic character to learn in Concord, and he can also be quite impactful with high damage from his grenades and the ability to see enemies through his smoke.

Kyps

Faster reload speed

Kyps is not meant to be a character that you can take head-on fights with. She relies on sneaking up to an enemy and consistently distracting them until they make a mistake and give you a point.

A Tier Freegunners

Freegunner Name

Crew Bonus

Reason

1-0FF

Increased healing speed

While this character's abilities sound cool on paper, they're a little too easy to avoid in the game. The lack of mobility stacks on top of this easy avoidance to make the Freegunner feel a little weak.

Star Child

Faster dodge cooldown

Star Child can be highly effective in the right hands, but he has a lot of counters in the game. Moreover, most units have high mobility, making it too easy to dodge his dash.

It-Z

Improved mobility

It-Z is one of the few Freegunners that sound highly valuable in theory but her abilities' multipliers are a little too low to make it work.

Jabali

Improved weapon recoil

Jabali is essentially the jack of all trades in Concord as he can heal his party members while dealing damage to enemies at the same time, though he doesn't excel at either of those.

Daw

Faster reload speed

Daw is a nice quality-of-life character to have on your team, but his abilities restrict you to a small area, which might not be a good thing in most cases.

Vale

Longer weapon range

Sniper characters are always satisfying to use in a PvP game, but Vale seems to have a bit low damage and defensive abilities to be able to work properly.

B Tier Freegunners

Freegunner Name

Crew Bonus

Reason

Daveers

Faster dodge cooldown

This character just generally feels underwhelming since their bullets don't deal a lot of damage and you need enemies in a specific area to make them useful, which makes them easy to counter.

Roka

Improved mobility

Instead of needing enemies in a specific position, Roka is the one who has to be perfectly positioned to get value. The only good thing about this unit is that she can make the enemies aim at an uncomfortable angle.

Duchess

Improved weapon recoil

This character simply needs a little too many things to align perfectly for her to get value. You first have to place your orb properly, get lucky with the enemies being in it when it explodes, and then deal high damage to them.
