Summary
- Nuke the arena in 2v2 with the Giant Skeleton Mirror Clone combo for double the death bomb action.
- Use the Golem Lava Witch combo to overwhelm opponents and dominate 2v2 battles with ease.
- Take advantage of Extreme Bridge Spam for quick, overwhelming offense and stack up damage fast.
Of Clash Royale’s many game modes, Two Versus Two is perhaps the most casually chaotic way of battling in the arena, where you play alongside a random or chosen teammate against another team of two players. This means that both players will have separate decks, but with this small change, virtually everything about 2v2 is different to the normal game modes.

PostsSince 2v2 is a casual game mode, players tend to queue to have fun and not play too competitively. This makes it, so there’s a lack of current meta in the game mode, but based off matches and top ladder experiences in the 2v2 arena, these decks are the most effective to play alongside your friend.
5 Giant Skeleton Mirror Clone
Nuke The Arena With Multiple Giant Skeleton Bombs
One of the few archetypes in the 2v2 sphere that actually sees some play in other casual game modes is the Giant Skeleton Mirror Clone Combo. The Giant Skeleton itself is a below-average card and doesn’t have a lot of fans. But when the clone was released, it was boosted in popularity because the Giant Skeleton’s main strength could now be doubled for half the elixir. By cloning the Giant Skeleton, you can get a second death bomb for three elixir, a push that can essentially take out an entire tower by itself.
In 2v2, players love to spam the Giant Skeleton until you have a bunch running down one lane, since you need only one to reach the tower, after which you can clone the death bomb with the clone spell. With a second player, you can run the same deck with some defensive cards and, after some teamwork synergy, you’ll start to see consistent wins in your 2v2 battles. This is also considered to be the cheesiest deck in the 2v2 meta because of how fun and unique it is to play with.
4 Golem Lava Witch Combo
A Classic Deck Finding Some Love In 2v2
The goal for this deck is to overwhelm your opponent with troops like the Witch and the Night Witch, while also giving these support cards some much-needed armor in the form of the Golem and the Lava Hound. One team member can pick the Lava Hound while the other chooses the Golem and the principle for playing both these decks is essentially the same as the Golem beat down archetype.

PostsPlay the Golem at the back and build up a push with both Witches while using spells like the Fireball and the Lightning to clear a path to the tower. The Clone spell adds some extra value by doubling the number of troops and increasing the death damage of the Golem or even doubling the number of Lava Pups to burst out. With a little bit of practice, this deck can truly shine in 2v2, and since it doesn’t require much skill to master, it is a quick and easy way to dominate the game mode.
3 Giant Pekka Piglets Control
A Defensive Offense Is The Best Offense
This combination of decks is a mix of a Pekka Bridge spam with Royals Hogs as the main win condition, alongside a Giant control deck. You can actually see this deck more often in general play since it’s two different decks that work well together and don’t require great teamwork to perform.
Coordination with your teammate is important, but since you’re playing two different archetypes, synergy in offense isn’t really present. Instead, these decks focus on defense while getting valuable chip damage with the Hogs, Dart Goblin, and a Fireball cycle. These decks are not limited to good performance in just the 2v2 game mode either. You can practice with them on regular Trophy Road while occasionally teaming up with a friend for a casual battle in 2v2.
2 Lava Hound Miner Poison
A Little Bit Of Damage At A Time Becomes A Lot In A Bit
The Lava Hound Miner Poison is a unique deck that sees most of its action in the 2v2 player space. The goal is simple: use the same exact deck for both players and do chip damage on the tower with the miner poison combo and an occasional Lava Hound for some extra damage. The Flying Machine is used as a defense but can be built upon with a counter push in conjunction with the Lava Hound.

PostsThis deck might not look like it, but it can very easily overwhelm almost any player in 2v2, because playing two of each of these cards can stack up damage faster than the reaction speed to counter it. The Inferno Dragon and the Mega Minion can also be used just like the Flying Machine, but benefit much more as a defense against high HP units. There’s not much else to say besides the fact that the Lava Hound surprisingly sees much more play in 2v2 than any other game mode.
1 Extreme Bridge Spam
Probably The Easiest To Play Deck In The Game
The Extreme Bridge Spam deck gets its fun little name from how much you can put out with it, especially when there are two of the same spam troops stacking damage faster than opponents can keep up with. The principle is to use fast damaging cards that are almost impossible to counter quickly and overwhelm your opponents into making a mistake against your offense. Once that happens, you simply build another offense and break through aby defense.
Cards like the Dart Goblin, Princess, Goblin Gang, Battle Ram, Bandit and Golden Knight are often seen being spammed at the bridge, so they work well in this archetype. The best variations of the Extreme Bridge Spam also have suitable defensive cards that can counter win conditions or high HP units like the Mega Knight. There’s no stopping the spam and, since two players are playing, it’s twice as likely to make a mistake when playing against this Bridge Spam deck.
