PostsInstalling this kit converts the MW2 RAAL LMG into a powerful hybrid between a marksman rifle and LMG. By switching to semi-auto fire, you convert this weapon into a two-tapping machine in all Multiplayer modes, and it becomes a solid option in Warzone for mid-range engagements. This guide covers how to unlock the JAK Protean Kit and how to create the best loadout for it.
How To Unlock The JAK Protean Kit
The JAK Protean Kit is tied to the fourth set of Weekly Challenges in Season 5. Completing any five challenges listed in Week 4 will unlock the JAK Protean for the RAAL LMG. You'll also need the RAAL unlocked to use this kit. If you distatic.aayyy.com/topic/dn/'t play MW2, you'll need to unlock this LMG through the Armory Unlocks system.
Once Season 5 ends, you can unlock the JAK Protean Kit through Armory Unlocks.
Installing the JAK Protean Kit will lower the RAAL's base damage and overall mobility. In exchange, you gain a slightly faster fire rate and a significantly stronger semi-auto mode. While in semi-auto, the JAK Protean can two-tap players from 50+ meters, and that's anywhere on the body (excluding leg shots). Building this weapon for its semi-auto mode is highly encouraged. If you want a strong full-auto LMG, use any other MW3 LMG instead; the JAK Protean Kit just doesn't cut it.

This build is tailored towards the RAAL's semi-auto mode, turning it into an aggressive marksman rifle you can use on the move. While the gun's mobility isn't great, we can greatly enhance its handling stats with ADS attachments. We achieve an ADS speed of 300ms with this build, but you can get it even lower with some tweaks.
We start by equipping the JAK Protean Kit to make the semi-auto mode incredibly strong. The optic it comes with by default isn't great, so we suggest installing your favorite optic—we prefer the Quartermaster Classic Reflex. We then install a 50 Round Belt Mag for better mobility, the FSS Riot Stock for handling, and the SL Razorhawk Laser to greatly improve our ADS speed.
If you want the build to cater to more aggressive playstyles, you can replace the stock with a Demo Folding Stock. This will further reduce your ADS speed and greatly increase your mobility, but it comes at the cost of significant visual recoil. Your actual recoil doesn't get hit much, but the visual shake you'll experience from each shot is rather extreme. If you can handle the increase in optic kick, it's well worth using.

Perks Vest Modular Assault Rig Gloves Quick-Grip Gloves Boots All-Terrain Boots Gear Compression Plate, Mag Holster Equipment Secondary Preference Lethal Preference Tactical Stim Field Upgrade Med BoxThe Modular Assault Rig is always a great choice for any Multiplayer build. You get access to every loadout option possible, including two gear perks. We use Quick-Grip Gloves to quickly swap to a close-range secondary like the Renetti. We then equip All-Terrain Boots for a solid boost to all mobility stats, then the Compression Plate to instantly regenerate HP with kills.
The second gear perk is up to you. We prefer Mag Holster.
Equipment is dealer's choice here; tailor it for your favorite playlists. For general play, you can't go wrong with Stims and the Med Box Field Upgrade for rapid HP regeneration for situations where you can't active Compression Plate.
